Eric Escobar on his ties to the Guerrero family

Arda Ocal sent this in:

Arda Ocal (@Arda_Ocal) & Jimmy Korderas (@JimmyKorderas) of Right After Wrestling on theScore recently spoke with Eric Escobar.

Here are some highlights:

On being paired with Primo before coming up to the main roster
“We were supposed to come in as a team but then they found out he was Carlito’s brother so they paired them up instead. And I was like, ‘you guys seriously didn’t know they were brothers!?’ So that never happened and I continued my stay in FCW. I had a record for being there for so long…I say me & Eugene were in developmental for the longest time.”

Eric on his ties with the Guerrero family
“It all started when I was a fan and going all the way back to Chavo Classic and even Gory. I seen so much of their stuff and I knew so much about their heritage so it became a bond in many ways. Then I actually got to meet Eddie, God rest his soul, which was an honor. I met him when he came to Puerto Rico one time. Then I got to meet Chavo and I got to know him on a first-name basis and I stayed close to him. I honestly don’t know who (or which writer) thought of pairing me up with Vickie though.”
