MLW Underground will not have a second season on REELZ.
PWInsider Elite was provided the following statement from REELZ:
“We evaluated wrestling on REELZ and decided that it was not a great fit with the current programming direction of the network and MLW agreed so there are no further conversations taking place.”
The statement from REELZ is a follow-up from this past April when the network stated they were in discussions with MLW regarding future seasons after Underground’s initial 13-week trial run.
Back on March 1, after talks between NBCUniversal and REELZ, Peacock added a live linear stream of REELZ. However, the feed was offline on Tuesday night’s at 10:00 pm ET due to Peacock’s current deal with WWE.
