Samoa Joe appears at ROH Supercard of Honor, Tony Khan confirms Joe signs with AEW

ROH Supercard of Honor took place on Friday, April 1, live on FITE TV. The biggest news of the night coming out of the show, was the return of Samoa Joe.

This was the promotion’s first event since going on hiatus last December, and being purchased by AEW CEO and President Tony Khan last month.

Below is the footage of Joe making his return to save Jonathan Gresham, Matt Sydal and Lee Moriarty from being ambushed by Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt who turned heel during the show. Gresham defeated Bandido to become the Unified Champion. Lethal had challenged Gresham to a future title match before he called him a piece of crap and took him out. Be sure to check out our recap and full review of the show.

Joe was released by WWE back on April 15, 2021, then brought back in June of that year, and then released again back on January 6 of this year.

Tony Khan also took to Twitter to confirm Joe has signed a deal with AEW. It was also announced during Supercard of Honor that Joe will appear on this coming Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite live on TBS.
