Impact opens up with highlights from last week focusing on Lashley’s World Title win and the return of Bobby Roode.
In the parking lot MVP and his boys are shown arriving as MVP says tonight is their night and they are going to celebrate. He says Lashley has earned it and tells him to lead the way as they walk into the building.
The Beautiful People vs. Gail Kim & Taryn Terrell
Velvet is sporting a new tattoo on her arm. Angelina doesn’t want to start against Gail so Velvet will start instead. They lockup and Velvet knees Gail in the gut before slamming her to the mat and putting the boots to her. Velvet whips Gail into the corner but then floats up and over Velvet as she charged at her. Gail catches Velvet with a drop toehold and then rolls her over and flips forward into a Jackknife pin for a nearfall. Terrell tags into the match and the babyfaces whip Velvet into the ropes and connect with a Double Back Elbow. Terrell gets a nearfall and whips Velvet into the ropes. Terrell goes for a backdrop but Velvet kicks her and attempts a Roundhouse Kick. Terrell ducks and lays Velvet out with a Flying Forearm. Terrell clotheslines Velvet and follows up with a Spinning Neckbreaker for another nearfall. Velvet begs off and then grabs Terrell by the tights and pulls her throat first into the ropes. Angelina tags into the match and puts the boots to Terrell while talking trash to her and slapping her in the face. Terrell tries to fight back but Angelina rolls out to the floor to get away. Gail grabs her by the hair and tosses her back in the ring where Terrell rolls her up for another nearfall. Terrell then counters a clothesline into a Backslide for another nearfall. Terrell clotheslines Angelina and climbs up top. Velvet tries to stop her but eats an elbow from Terrell. Angelina uses the distraction to grab Terrell and try to throw her off the top. Terrell kicks her away and dives off with a Flying Clothesline for a nearfall. Angelina rolls back out to the floor and Terrell gives chase. Angelina rolls back into the ring and as Terrell rolls back in Velvet grabs her leg and trips her. Angelina throws Terrell into the heel corner and puts the boots to her before hitting a Front Slam. Velvet tags into the match and BP hits the Holla Double Elbow for another nearfall. Velvet forearms Terrell repeatedly and then whips her into the corner. Velvet hits a Running Clothesline and chokes her with her boot. She stomps Terrell down and grabs her by the legs pulling her up into the air and slamming her to the mat for another nearfall. Terrell tries fighting back with elbows but Velvet cuts her off with a series of front kicks followed by a Leaping Neckbreaker for yet another nearfall. Velvet puts Terrell in a Straightjacket Crossface but Terrell counters into an armdrag before she and Velvet both slam each other to the mat by the hair. Terrell gets the hot tag to Gail while Velvet tags in Angelina. Gail hits a series of leg kicks followed by a Running Shoulder Block on Angelina. Gail hits a Running Back Elbow and then a clothesline. Gail whips Angelina into the corner and charges at her with a Flying Body Press before sliding through the ropes to the apron. Gail then slingshots into a Somersault Rollup on Angelina for a nearfall. Gail hits a Hangwoman’s Neckbreaker for another nearfall but Velvet runs in and breaks it up. Terrell dives off the top with a Flying Cross Body onto both members of BP! She and Velvet roll to the floor as Gail hits Eat Defeat on Angelina for the pin!

A vignette airs hyping up TNA taking “Bound for Glory” to Japan this year.
Backstage Dixie Carter walks with Atlas Security and she says she is in a good mood because she just got confirmation that tonight is going to be a very good night for her.
MVP and Kenny King make their way down to the ring with a couple of Philadelphia’s finest honeys with them. MVP says he would like to take this moment to introduce the new World Champion: Lashley who comes down with a beautiful female of his own. They have a table set up in the ring with champagne as well. The woman with Lashley unbuttons his coat at the top of the ramp to reveal the World Title as MVP continues to talk trash in the ring to the fans. He literally talked trash the entire time Lashley was making his entrance.
MVP says it is official that he has regained his power in TNA with Lashley winning the World Title and he says Kenny King has his hands full tonight as King stands with two ladies. He says that it didn’t happen as quickly as he said it would but at the end of the day they didn’t compromise, they conquered. He says that officially “the world is ours.” MVP says last week some people stepped out of line so they have to remind those people this week who maintains those lines. MVP says by the end of the night EY is going to be begging for his release.
Eric Young comes onto the stage with his arm in a sling after the vicious attack on it last week by MVP and company. These guys really need a name for their group. EY says he’s thinking about asking for an extension not a release because he isn’t going anywhere. He says that he knew that with the World Title “politics and garbage” wouldn’t be far behind, but he just didn’t think it would be this fast. EY says you can’t fight city hall but he isn’t looking to fight city hall, he’s looking to tear it down. EY takes his sling off and hits the ring where Kenny King jumps on him. Lashley grabs EY and holds him as King lays into him and MVP hits him with a crutch.
Roode jumps the guardrail and hits the ring taking the crutch away from MVP! He swings at MVP but MVP ducks and bails along with Lashley while Roode beats down King with the crutch!
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Roode and EY are still in the ring and Roode says he has known EY for almost twenty years. He says that like with every friendship he and EY have had some ups and downs especially the downs, but at the end of the day they share two common bonds: 1) over a decade ago they signed contracts with TNA on the same day and they helped build TNA from the bottom up and 2) they love “the sport of professional wrestling.” He says that they eat, sleep, and drink wrestling and seven weeks ago MVP took that love away from him with that “bullshit suspension.” He says that EY fought every single week with heart and courage for the love of wrestling to give honor and respect back to TNA where it was before MVP walked in. Roode says their love for the business and the love for that TNA World Title is why Roode is standing in the ring right now. He says that the games are over, suspension are not, MVP’s games are over. He says he isn’t doing it just for he or EY, he is doing it for every one of the wrestling fans in TNA and every wrestler in the back.
Roode says he could have sat at home and collected his pay check but that isn’t his style. Roode says if MVP wants to suspend him again or fire him that is fine, but for once be a man and do it to his face.
MVP asks Roode if he truly loves TNA and loves working here and then says he is still Roode’s boss so he is going to get in the ring to talk to Roode as long as he is prepared to act civilized. MVP climbs in the ring and says that speech Roode just cut was “absolutely riveting” but he has made a big mistake, and he just repeated by coming back here again. MVP says for every action there is a reaction and in this case it is going to be his reaction because he is STILL the Director of Operations in TNA. MVP starts to fire Roode but a man in a suit walks out to interrupt MVP.
The man is named Earl Armstrong who claims to represent TNA’s Board of Directors. He says as of right now MVP is officially no longer the Director of Wrestling Operations for TNA Wrestling! MVP screams that he can’t do that and freaks out saying he doesn’t know who the hell he is. Earl says MVP’s replacement will be here shortly to pick up the pieces of the mess that MVP has left behind.
Roode asks the man if he really just said that MVP has no more power in TNA right now and Earl agrees so Roode decks MVP as the fans chant “kick his ass!” King and Lashley pull MVP out of the ring and retreat up the ramp as Roode and EY stand strong in the ring!
The Menagerie talk to someone on the phone backstage about money they owe them. Knux says the person is threatening to take their business so they need cash quick and the quickest way is a championship. He says Crazzy Steve was inches away from the X-Division Title at Destination X and tonight he is going to beat Sanada for the belt. Zema Ion walks in with Jesse and asks why Sanada would accept a challenge from Steve because Zema is the one guy that should have been in that Ladder Match but wasn’t allowed. Zema says he speaks Sanada’s language, “strong style.” Manik walks in, not wearing his mask, and says “whats up DJ Crayola” and sarcastically says that he’s sure Sanada would accept a challenge from “nobodies favorite wrestler” in DJ Z. Z tells Manik to go back to “live tweeting” on Thursdays before shoving him and running away. Jesse says “put that mask on” as they run away.
Manik puts the mask on and then turns around and gets in Crazzy Steve’s weirdo face. He tells Steve that he has something on his face and walks away.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Backstage Rockstar Spud approaches Dixie Carter and says tonight is going to be glorious. Dixie gloats about what just happened with MVP and says she knew she was great in TNA’s board meeting. She thinks that she is getting control back of wrestling operations. She asks Spud to bring her a bottle of champagne to celebrate.
Sanada comes out to the ring and Tenay says that Sanada gets the chance to pick his opponent tonight whether Z, Steve, or Manik. Sanada asks each man if they want the title match which of course they say yes to. Sanada says all three get the shot!

Fatal 4-Way Match
Sanada (c) vs. “DJ Z” Zema Ion vs. Crazzy Steve w/The Menagerie vs. Manik
The bell rings and Z shoves Sanada with Sanada responding with a big slap to the face. Steve slaps Zema as well and Manik nails him with a Leaping Back Kick. Manik charges into an elbow from Z and then Steve does the same thing as well as Sanada. Zema climbs up top and dives off right into a Triple Dropkick from the other three! Zema rolls to the floor as Sanada whips Manik into the corner. Steve charges at Manik but Manik sidesteps him and then traps Steve in the corner as Sanada charges into the boots of Manik. Manik ducks a clothesline from Sanada and then shoves Sanada into a charging Steve as Sanada clotheslines Steve while Bulldogging Manik at the same time! Sanada goes for the Tiger Suplex but Manik blocks it and hits the ropes as Sanada leapfrogs him and connects with a dropkick. Steve rolls Sanada up for a nearfall and then exchange strikes with him. Sanada hits the ropes but Zema trips him and pulls him out to the floor. Steve grabs Zema by the Mohawk and pulls him up to the apron only to get caught with a jawbreaker on the top rope by Zema. Zema attempts an Irish Whip but Steve counters it by leaping up to the shoulders of Zema and biting him! Steve goes for a Press Slam but Zema blocks it and goes for a German Suplex. Steve counters and shoves Zema into the ropes where Sanada slingshots himself over both into a Double Sunset Flip causing Steve to German Suplex Zema! Manik dives off the top with a Double Missile Dropkick on Sanada and Steve! Manik attempts to whip Sanada into the ropes but Sanada reverses it and attempts a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker only for Manik to catch him with a Spinning Headscissors into an Octopus! Manik then takes Sanada down by sweeping the legs and then hooking his legs in a Death Lock. Steve chops Manik causing him to drop to the mat but he continues to hold onto the submission hold on Sanada. Manik gets back up and then ducks a clothesline and locks Steve in an Abdominal Stretch while keeping Sanada in the Death Lock! Zema comes in and kicks Manik before tossing Zema to the floor. Zema hits a Running Elbow on Sanada and then clotheslines him over the top the floor. Zema attempts to toss Manik out to the floor but Manik does his Spiderman impression hanging between the ropes. Zema charges at Manik but he drops down causing Manik to fall to the floor. Steve charges at Manik but he backdrops him over the top onto both Z & Sanada! Manik leaps to the top and dives into a Sommersault Plancha onto all three of his opponents! Manik rolls Steve into the ring and sets up for a springboard move but Zema pulls Manik down off the apron face first into it. Zema then shoulder blocks Steve through the ropes followed by a Slingshot Tornado DDT! Zema lifts Steve up to the top rope and goes for a Superplex, but Manik runs in and Superbombs Zema while Zema Superplexes Steve at the same time in a Tower of Doom! Manik goes for the Tiger Buster on Zema but Sanada dives off the top with a Springboard Muta Chop on Manik! Sanada counters a clothesline into a Bridging Tiger Suplex! 1…2…3!

Backstage MVP and his boys complain about what happened earlier. MVP says he wasn’t anticipating this but it’s cool and he will figure it out when he calls his lawyer. He says this is all Dixie Carter’s fault.
Bram and Magnus talk about the Monsters Ball tonight and Magnus says that they may have never been in a Monsters Ball, but using things like barbed wire, chairs, bats, etc. used to just be a Friday night for them before they became pro wrestlers. Bram says that kind of a fight is nothing for them.
Dixie Carter walks out to the ring with Spud and she says she hopes everyone realizes the historical significance of what is going on right now. She says that when she lost control of wrestling operations it was because she put her faith in wrestlers like Bobby Roode to lead her team at Lockdown and Bully Ray to referee that match. She says that Bully stole her money and turned on him and all the “poor pitiful” people put their faith in MVP to be their savior. She says that MVP is just another wrestler that has turned their back on the fans. Dixie says tonight is about the future and about her gaining complete control over TNA again. She says for all the fans that love her so much the new “Dixie Carter 2.0” is going to be better than ever and she is going to give the fans what they want which she knows is more of her. She introduces the Board of Directors representative who walks out to the ring.
Earl Solomon Armstrong is apparently his full name. Armstrong thanks Dixie for the kind words and says this is a very tough situation, but he thinks there has been a bit of a misunderstanding. He says that he stated earlier tonight that a new person would be named the Director of Operations but Dixie is not that person. He says that person will be here later tonight and that person asked that he not reveal their identity until later.
Dixie screams at him and throws wine in his face while berating him. She says that this is her ring and she owns all of these people and no one is going to tell her that she is not in control again.
Bully Ray comes out as Dixie and Spud cower in the corner. Bully says he is going to explain to her what is about to happen as the fans chant for “tables.” Bully says he is going to kick “that bitch” in the face while pointing at Spud and then he is going to drink her champagne as he takes a swig. He says he thinks that she knows what is going to happen after that. Dixie begs Bully to stop and she asks him how much money it is going to take. Bully says that he can’t hear her over the fans chanting for tables. She asks Bully what it will take and offers Bully $200,000 to stop.
Bully says that is a lot of money and he starts weighing his options to take her money or put her through a table. The fans pop for putting her through a table so Bully says he is just going to put her through a table. EC3 hits the ring but Bully saw him coming and tosses him over the top. Bully kicks Spud in the face like he said he would and then he corners Dixie! She tries to slap him but Bully blocks it and lifts Dixie up ot his shoulder! Bully goes to put her through the table but Spud flips the table over and bails out of the ring as EC3 pulls Dixie to safety.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Backstage Dixie is freaking out as she and Spud retreat to their car. Cut to Bully saying that she was “this close” to getting put through a table yet again. He says that he WILL make good on his promise to put her through that table and says he will not rest until he does.
“Cowboy” James Storm vs. Mr. Anderson
This is a rematch from Slammiversary in which Storm damn near caused a riot involving the Dallas Cowboys players and Anderson pinned Storm with the help of said players. Storm and Anderson begin brawling on the ramp and the fighting spills to ringside where Anderson slams Storm into the ring steps. In the ring Storm pokes Anderson in the eyes but Anderson takes him down and hits an elbow drop for a nearfall. Anderson tosses Storm through the ropes but he lands on the apron and then kicks a charging Anderson followed by a Leaping Enziguri. Back in the ring Storm hits a Leaping Neckbreaker for a one count. Storm slaps Anderson and starts talking trash to the crowd. Storm whips Anderson into the corenr and charges right into a boot from Anderson. Anderson counters a clothesline into a Spinning Neckbreaker! Storm pokes Anderson in the eyes and tosses Anderson into the corner. Anderson elbows Storm and hits a running clothesline followed by a back elbow and then the Green Bay Plunge! 1…2…NO Storm kicks out and it looks like Anderson might have rung his own bell during that move or he is at least selling it like he did. He acts groggy as he gets to his feet which allows Storm to recover and connect with the Closing Time! Storm then hits the Backstabber for a nearfall. Storm goes for the Last Call but Anderson ducks and goes for the Mic Check! Storm holds onto the ropes to block the move and when Anderson hits the mat he sells it like he hit his head again. Anderson gets to his feet and Storm absolutely decapitates Anderson sending his head right into the balcony seats with the Last Call! 1…2…3!

A limo is shown arriving in the parking lot.

Gunner approaches Sam Shaw in the nut house and he says that after speaking with Shaw’s doctors they have decided to release him, but only under his supervision. He asks Shaw if that is okay and Shaw agrees to it shaking Gunner’s hand to seal it.
Storm applauds Sanada backstage and tells him that he had a great match tonight. He says he’s not here to talk about that though and says that Sanada is a protégé of one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, Great Muta. Storm says that Destination X is right around the corner and he asks Sanada if he is ready to take the gamble to become World Champion. Storm talks about how proud Muta would be if he won that belt and how proud the Japanese people would be if he took that belt back to Japan. Storm says that is a lot of pressure and asks him what happens if he lost. He asks Sanada what would happen if he chokes and then Sanada gets in Storm’s face which Storm takes as he does understand what he’s saying. Storm gets in Sanada’s face and screams at him to say whatever he’s got on his mind and he says he knows more about Sanada that he thinks. He tells Sanada “good luck but don’t choke” and walks away as Sanada looks down at the floor.
Tommy Dreamer jumps EC3 backstage and slams him into a door! Dreamer and EC3 brawl all around ringside. EC3 grabs a trashcan but Dreamer takes it away from him and blasts EC3 with it! Dramer grabs a chair and slams it on top of EC3 before tossing him through the curtain and into the arena. The fight spills onto the stage where Dreamer slams the trashcan into EC3 again! The fans chant “ECW” and then Dreamer grabs a water bottle from the trash and actually takes a swig before hitting EC3 with it. Dreamer chokes EC3 with his jacket but EC3 kicks him in the balls and slams him on the ramp! EC3 pulls up the padding at ringside and goes for the One Percenter, but Dreamer counters into a Back Suplex on the floor! Dreamer tries to throw EC3 into the ring steps but EC3 reverses it and continues to beat on him while talking trash. EC3 tries to slam him into the steps again but Dreamer reverses it causing EC3 to go knees first into them! Dreamer grabs a chair and hits EC3 in the gut with it and tries to slam him into the ring post but EC3 counters it. EC3 rolls Dreamer into the ring and whips Dreamer into the corner, but Dreamer explodes out with a clothesline! Dreamer bites EC3 and they continue to fight until referees and Al Snow run out to separate them.
Backstage Abyss and Willow cut a promo about the Main Event tonight. Abyss says tonight Magnus and Bram will know the true feeling of pain and then Willow rambles about Abyss having everything they need. Abyss holds up a bag of tacks and smiles and then Willow asks if “she will intend the ball” in which Abyss responds by saying that “she” is always nearby obviously alluding to Janice.
MVP and his boys walk to the parking lot to try and confront the new Director of Operations in his limo.

MVP and his boys approach the limo but whoever was in there is no longer in there now. They assault the driver before going to look for him elsewhere.
Main Event
Monsters Ball Match
“The Monster” Abyss & Willow vs. Bram & Magnus
The four men meet each other on the ramp and begin brawling immediately. Abyss and Bram spill inot the ring and Abyss attempts a backdrop before Bram kicks him only to eat a clothesline from Abyss. Abyss clotheslines Bram over the top to the floor and follows him out as Magnus and Willow begin fighting in the ring. Magnus hits the ropes but runs into an Atomic Drop followed by a Leg Drop to the nuts and then a Sliding Dropkick. Willow follows up with a Cartwheel Slap while Abyss attempts to Chokeslam Bram onto a board wrapped in barbed wire on the floor! Bram hits Abyss with some stiff elbows to break the hold and rolls into the ring as the fans chant “we want blood.” Willow and Abyss throws a bunch of weapons in the ring as the heels try to recover. Bram and Magnus grab kendo sticks and hockey sticks and start laying into the babyfaces. Bram hits Abyss with a trashcan and likewise Magnus hits Willow with one. The Kings Lynn Bullies whip Hardy into the ropes and attempt a double clothesline but he ducks it and hits a double clothesline of his own! Willow goes for a whip into the corner on Magnus but Magnus reverses it and runs right into an elbow from Willow. Willow leaps to the top and dives off with the Whisper in the Wind on Magnus! Bram grabs Willow only to eat a Jawbreaker followed by a dropkick from Willow. Willow throws a chair at Bram and slams a garbage can down on him followed by the Hardyac Arrest sending the trashcan into Bram’s face! Willow lays a chair on top of Magnus and then goes for the Swanton Bomb but Magnus moves out of the way and starts hitting Hardy with it before sliding the chair into Abyss’ face as Abyss stood near ringside! Bram is busted open as Abyss rakes Janice across his face! Abyss attempts a homicide as he swings Janice at Bram only to hit the turnbuckles where it gets stuck so the heels kick him in the balls. Bram and Magnus whip Abyss in the corner and then drag him to the floor. Bram hits Abyss with a trashcan lid and Magnus climbs in the ring with a chair and starts beating him with it. Bram handcuffs Abyss to the guardrail as Magnus continues to beat Jeff with the chair. Bram takes the chair and begins hitting Hardy with it as well. Magnus covers Hardy for a series of nerfalls and then Bram starts whipping him with a kendo stick. They taunt Abyss as Magnus grabs Janice and Abyss snaps the handcuffs! Abyss lays out Bram and Magnus with clotheslines and then goes for a Chokeslam on Bram, but Magnus hits him with a trashcan. Willow comes back with kendo shots to the heels and then a Twist of Fate on Magnus and one for Bram as well! Willow climbs to the top but Magnus obliterates him with a chair that causes Hardy to fall through the barbed wire board at ringside! Hardy is nuts man. Abyss grabs a bag at ringside and pours thumbtacks on the mat! Abyss goes for a Chokelsam but Magnus kicks him in the balls and then grabs Janice! Magnus tries to hit Abyss with Janice but Abyss grabs him by the throat and Chokeslams Magnus into the tacks! Bram grabs Janice and hits Abyss in the gut as he turns around! 1…2…3!
Winner: Bram & Magnus via pinfall (Bram potentially committing a murder with Janice)
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
The representative for TNA’s Board of Directors walks onto the stage and introduces the new Director of Operations… KURT ANGLE! Angle walks out and he stills has a bit of a limp. Kurt says “guess who’s in charge” and it is about time that TNA got their heads out of their asses. He says that TNA has made a lot of mistakes in the past like Dixie Carter and MVP, but Kurt says he doesn’t have any secret motives. He says he has accomplished everything he has wanted in wrestling and all he can do now is give back to the locker room and the fans. Kurt says any of the wrestlers that want to try him in the back it’s about to get “real, damn real.”
Lashley’s music hits and he walks out along with MVP and King. King seems to not be able to believe that it is Kurt who has replaced him and Kurt says to believe it because he is now his boss. MVP says he knew he had to look out for Dixie but now Kurt and he calls Kurt a snitch suggesting he whined to the board because they kicked him out last week. MVP tells Kurt to look deep down inside himself and ask if he has come to terms with all of his personal problems in the past. MVP asks if he has all his past demons in check because he has three demons in front of him right now that are about to become his biggest problems. MVP says no one tells them what to do and they are running things in TNA. MVP asks if he really thinks he can tell that “hothead” Kenny King or MVP or the World Champ what they can and can’t do. MVP says Kurt may have some authority in TNA right now but they have the power and he says they should use that power to end his reign before it begins.
Kurt asks MVP if this is really what he wants and he says if any of them lay a finger on him he will fire them on the spot! Kurt says “you know why?! Because I’m the freakin’ boss!” Kurt says Lashley is going to defend the title against EY next week! Angle says he just reinstated Bobby Roode as well as Roode and EY walk onto the stage!
Roode and EY hit the ring and begin brawling with King and Lashley! They continue to brawl as Impact closes.
