A video package runs highlighting the past eight years of TNA Wrestling including some top moments in company history including the debut in June of 2002, Kurt Angle’s debut and his confrontation with Samoa Joe, the young talent who have been with the company for many years, the debut of Hulk Hogan, Jeff Hardy’s return to TNA and Rob Van Dam reigning as TNA World Heavyweight Champion. The video closes adding, “The history is here, the memories are waiting.”
We then go live to the Impact Zone in Orlando, FL at Universal Studios where a series of pyro goes off.
Kazarian is out first to kick off the show.
Kurt Angle vs. Kazarian
Lock up and Angle gets a headlock takedown on Kazarian right away. Kazarian responds with a few arm drags. Mike Tenay mentions on commentary that a new Top 10 rankings will be revealed this week on Impact. Angle lifts Kazarian up and slams him into the corner. Kazarian fires back connecting with a springboard missile dropkick. Angle hits a german suplex, a second, attempts a third and Kazarian gets in a low blow in front of the referee. The referee gets in Kazarian’s and is close to stopping the match when Angle prevents it. Kazarian jumps at Angle and pushes him to the corner getting in a few right hands. Kazarian with a big flip dive over the top rope taking out Angle. Kazarian with a slingshot leg drop. Angle with a big tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Kazarian responds with a clothesline. Kazarian with a few rights and Angle is able to sneak in a big release german suplex. Angle with a high back body suplex on Kazarian. Kazarian counters an Angle Slam attempt into a spinning neckbreaker for a two count. Angle with a powerbomb on Kazarian and transitions right into an Ankle Lock. Kazarian counters that into a close two count.
Kazarian with a quick dropkick on Angle. Kazarian starts going up top with Angle recovering on his back. Angle pops up and launches Kazarian off the top rope to the mat below. Angle with an Ankle Lock on Kazarian. Kazarian kicks Angle away and then hits a big springboard DDT from the ring apron. Angle with a short german suplex on Kazarian. Angle with a second german. Angle with a third german. Angle with a fourth german and a release. Angle drops the straps and looks to finish Kazarian. Kazarian is able to counter and hit his modified Tombstone Piledriver behind his back. Kazarian covers Angle and Angle kicks out just barely after two. Kazarian counters a tilt-a-whirl attempt by Kazarian into a clothesline. Kazarian comes off top, Angle catches him with a kick and Angle Slam. Cover by Angle and Kazarian barely kicks out after two. Angle is shocked. Kazarian with a roll up on Angle and uses the ropes, but Angle still kicks out. Kazarian attempted his modifed Tombstone Piledriver again when Angle counters and gets Kazarian locked in the Ankle Lock. Angle falls down to wrench it in more and Kazarian taps out.
Winner: Kurt Angle
After the match, Angle had his arm raised and says, “One down, nine more to go.” We then see highlights from the match leading to the finish.
We go to Mike Tenay and Taz at the announce booth. Taz thanks a variety of names who paved the way for him to have the opportunity to come to TNA.
TNA X Division Championship
Douglas Williams (c) vs. Brian Kendrick
Lots of back and forth countering early on between Williams and Kendrick. Williams grounds Kendrick, but Kendrick fights back with a series of elbows to the back. Williams locks the leg of Kendrick and rolls around the ring taking Kendrick with him. Williams with a big right hand to Kendrick. Kendrick with some big elbows to Williams. Williams responds catching Kendrick after he hit the ropes and connecting with a powerful samoan drop. Williams gets a surfboard submission applied on Kendrick. Kendrick counters out attempting a quick pinfall, but a frustrated Williams powers out and then goes on the attack right away. Williams tosses Kendrick over the top rope to the ring apron. Williams hits the ropes, runs at Kendrick, Kendrick springboard flips himself over the top rope over Williams, hits the ropes and then connects with a suicide dive on Williams on the outside. Kendrick tosses Williams back in, goes up top and connects with a missile dropkick. Kendrick with two big kicks to the head of Williams, cover and Williams somehow gets a shoulder up. Kendrick with a boot to the face on Williams. Williams kicks Kendrick in the hamstring (or close to the “yam bag” as Taz called it on commentary). Series of pinfall attmepts between the two. Williams drives a knee into the jaw of Kendrick, hits a snap suplex and gutwrench suplex combo. Williams with a T-Bone suplex on Kendrick that results in a two count. Kendrick counters Williams’ Chaos Theory by biting his fingers. Williams with a tornado DDT on Kendrick after Williams sat up top. Williams covers Kendrick and gets the pinfall.

After the match, we see a few highlights of the match leading to the finish.
Backstage, Christy Hemme is with Eric Bischoff. Hemme wants Bischoff’s thoughts on Sting’s actions as of late. Bischoff said Sting doesn’t seem to care about TNA or its fans, while Rob van Dam is the perfect champion every company would want.
TNA Knockouts Championship
Madison Rayne (c) vs. Roxxi
Before the match, Rayne got on the mic and asked Roxxi why she keeps coming and going from TNA as The Beautiful People dominated the Knockouts division for the last two years. Rayne dares Roxxi to put her career in TNA on the line tonight just like Tara since she is putting up her title. Roxxi accepts and Rayne hits her in the face with the mic right away.
The bell rings and Roxxi is busted open right away. Blood is pouring down her face as Rayne gets in a few shots in the corner. Roxxi starts climbing up the corner and Rayne pulls her down by her legs. Roxxi has the crimson mask at this point or at least close to it as Rayne works over her left arm and shoulder. Roxxi catches Rayne with a kick to the head. Roxxi with a huge big boot on Rayne and then tosses her back in a fallaway slam. Roxxi hits her Voodoo Driver on Rayne and Rayne somehow kicks out after two. Roxxi is shocked. Rayne with a kick to Roxxi. Roxxi with a kick back and she hits another Voodoo Driver. When she plants Rayne, Rayne bounes out of the ring and tries to recover on the outside. Roxxi goes out and tosses Rayne back inside. Rayne takes advantage and drops Roxxi with her flip axe kick driver. Rayne covers Roxxi and gets the pinfall. Roxxi’s career in TNA is done.
Winner & STILL TNA Knockouts Champion: Madison Rayne
After the match, Madison Rayne holds up her title and mocks Roxxi waving goodbye. Rayne yells at Roxxi to leave. Tenay brings up how first Tara and now Roxxi are both sent packing from TNA by Rayne.
Brother Ray vs. Jesse Neal
Before the match, Brother Ray grabs a mic and tells Jesse Neal to relax for a second. Ray calls out Brother Devon to come out to the Impact Zone. Devon starts walking out down the ramp when Shannon Moore runs out. Moore gets in the ring and is trying to back up Neal. Ray said he owes everyone standing in the ring an apology. He said Devon talked some sense into him and said there was no reason for Ray to have treated Neal the way he has. Ray said Neal is doing what they trained him to do. Moore decides to leave the ring and head to the back. Devon assures him it is okay. Ray apologizes for calling Neal a failure in the Navy. He apologizes to Neal again, Devon, the fans and the people watching at home. Devon asks him if it is over. Ray and Neal hug. 3D hold up the arms of Neal and start to head up the ramp when Ray turns around and decks Neal with a right hand.
Ray grabs Neal and tosses him with force back into the ring. The bell officially rings and Ray drops Neal with a huge big boot. Devon runs up and TNA officials hold him back. Ray tells them to take Devon to the back. Devon backs off saying this isn’t over. Neal mounts a comeback with a few elbows, but Ray drops him with a big right hand. Ray with a big chest chop to Neal in the corner. Ray with some body shots to Neal. Ray drops an elbow across the chest of Neal. Neal attempts some charges at Ray, but Ray kicks him away and chops Neal some more. Ray gets Neal in the tree of woe and chops him again. Ray then drops Neal in the corner with a big neckbreaker. Ray props Neal in the corner again and hits another huge chop. More chops from Ray to Neal on the mat. Neal with right hands attempting a comeback. Neal with a clothesline, Ray stays on his feet, Neal pushes Ray to the corner and hits a springboard crossbody. Neal with a belly-to-belly on Ray. Ray with a Bubba Bomb on Neal and then slaps his back. Ray goes up to the top rope when we see a shot of Tommy Dreamer walking down the rafters and staring down Ray. A loud “ECW” chant starts up. Ray misses a senton splash on Neal and Neal catches Ray with a big spear. Cover by Neal and Neal gets the pinfall.
Winner: Jesse Neal
After the match, Brother Ray can’t believe it. Jesse Neal celebrates his huge win as we see a shot of Tommy Dreamer leaving the rafters and to the back.
Backstage, Christy Hemme is with Hernandez. Hernandez said tonight he gets his revenge for what Matt Morgan did to him and putting him on the shelf for months.
Matt Morgan is out first and is wearing a neckbrace. Morgan regrets to inform everyone that The Blueprint can’t compete tonight on Pay Per View. He said you can blame Hernandez for putting him out of action. Morgan presents a doctor’s note to the referee saying he can’t wrestle tonight. Taz adds, “What is this, high school?” He apologizes to the masses who ordered this Pay Per View tonight soley because of him. Morgan heads up the ramp to the back when Hernandez runs out and attacks him. Hernandez takes Morgan’s neckbrace off and tosses him in the ring.
Matt Morgan vs. Hernandez
The bell officially rings and Hernandez takes his shirt off and starts choking Morgan with it. Hernandez starts choking Morgan in the corner with his boot. The referee tries to push Hernandez off Morgan. Hernandez grabs the referee, lifts him up and sits him down on the top turnbuckle. Morgan drops to his knees begging Hernandez to stop and then pulls him towards the ropes and to the outside. Morgan drops Hernandez with a clothesline and tosses him back in the ring. Morgan sends Hernandez shoulder first into the steel ring post. Morgan does this a second time. Morgan starts bowing to the crowd and then stomps Hernandez when he rolls back in. Morgan fires his right and left elbows into the head of Hernandez in the corner. Taz said that was “vintage” Morgan. Hernandez with a big shoulder block on Morgan. Hernandez takes Morgan’s shirt off and starts choking Morgan with it. The referee gets back in Hernandez’ face. Hernandez grabs the referee and pushes him away with force. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner: No Contest
After the match, Hernandez and Matt Morgan keep brawling on the outside. Hernandez ends up catching referee Brian Hebner with a big boot right to the ribs as Morgan runs away. TNA referees run down to ringside to attend to Brian including his father Earl Hebner.
Backstage, Christy Hemme is with Hulk Hogan. Hogan said Sting has been crossing the line since he has arrived in TNA including his actions against Jeff Jarrett. He said if there is one guy who can hold his own with Sting it is the TNA World Champion Rob Van Dam.
Monster’s Ball Match
Abyss vs. Desmond Wolfe
Abyss tosses weapons into the ring on his way out. The two exchanged shots early on. Wolfe got a kendo stick and hit Abyss in the chest with it. Wolfe planted a chair in the corner. Abyss fights back dropping Wolfe in the middle of the ring. Abyss leaves the ring and pulls out a board full of barbed wire. Abyss sets it up in the corner and Wolfe comes forward with strikes. Abyss ends up sending Wolfe face first into the steel chair in the corner. Wolfe crotches Abyss when he is getting back into the ring by kicking the middle rope. Wolfe grabs a trash can and starts hitting Abyss in the head with it. Wolfe pulls out a teddy bear wrapped in barbed wire. He is trying to figure out why it was in a trash can. Abyss ends up splashing Wolfe in the corner using the barbed wire teddy bear. Wolfe falls down screaming in pain. Abyss grabs the bear and hands it to Chelsea at ringside. Abyss grabs a bag from under the ring and pours it out in the ring. Broken glass pours out. Wolfe sees this and rolls out of the ring screaming he didn’t sign up for this. Abyss chases Wolfe and Wolfe uses Chelsea to distract Abyss.
Wolfe grabs a kendo stick and hits Abyss with it. They brawl up to the announce booth area and Abyss ends up giving Wolfe a chokeslam through a part of the set. Abyss pulls Wolfe out and drags him by his arm back to the ringside area. Abyss pins Wolfe in the ring and Wolfe gets his foot on the bottom rope. Abyss grabs the barbed wire board and puts it down near the corner. Abyss has Wolfe propped up on the top turnbuckle and is attempting a superplex. Wolfe counters, flips off and gives Abyss a sunset flip powerbomb on the barbed wire board! Abyss’ arms are sliced open. Wolfe covers Abyss and Abyss somehow kicks out after two. Wolfe grabs the kendo stick and cracks it over the head of Abyss. Abyss fights back hitting a Shock Treatment on Wolfe, covers and Wolfe kicks out after two. Wolfe with an arm and knee combo to Abyss. Wolfe cracks the kendo stick across the back of Abyss and Abyss falls forward in the broken glass. We see a shot of Abyss’ blood all over the broken glass. Taz adds, “It is like a murder scene.” Wolfe yells at Chelsea to hand him a purse. She does and the purse is empty.
Wolfe yells, “Where are the brass knuckles?!” Chelsea then tosses the brass knucks over Wolfe and Abyss catches them. Abyss clocks Wolfe using the brass knucks and gets the pinfall.
Winner: Abyss
Backstage, Christy Hemme is with TNA World Heavyweight Champion Rob Van Dam. RVD said it will be a dark day if Sting beats him tonight for the title.
AJ Styles w/ Ric Flair vs. Jay Lethal
Lots of back and forth early on with Styles and Lethal feeling each other out. Styles with a headlock and Lethal responds with a takedown into a head scissors. Styles with a big dropkick to the knee of Lethal. Styles with a series of chops to Lethal. Lethal with a cartwheel into a dropkick to the face of Styles. Lethal with a quick backbreaker on Styles. Lethal misses a dive on Styles. Styles stops himself from taking out Lethal when Lethal moves out of the way. Lethal then tripped up Styles on the ring apron. Styles landed with a thud. Flair walked around and checked on Styles. Lethal with a big chop to Styles in the corner. Styles then crotches Lethal on the top rope. They exchange chops near the top rope and Styles drops Lethal with a huge kick to the head. Styles drops a knee over the head of Lethal. Lethal with more chops to Styles. Lethal catches Styles with a big spinning side kick to the head. Styles responds right away with a big back suplex. Styles distracts the referee as Flair starts choking Lethal with his sports coat.
Lethal attempts a comeback, but Styles drops a big elbow to the back of the head. Lethal catches Styles with a springing back flying elbow. Styles with a front face lock on Lethal. Lethal breaks out and slaps Styles. Lethal catches Styles with a big boot and connects with a jumping leg lariat. Lethal with a corner dropkick and the executes the Lethal Combination on Styles. Styles counters a springboard attempt by Lethal hitting a Death Valley Driver into a backbreaker combo. Flair trips up the leg of referee Earl Hebner. Hebner yells at Flair to back off. Lethal with an impressive back supex and then twisting in mid air to drop Styles with a neckbreaker. Styles is able to recover and get a Figure Four locked on Lethal. Lethal is able to reach the ropes to break it up. Styles with a big brainbuster on Lethal, cover and Lethal gets a shoulder up after two. Styles attempts a Styles Clash, but Lethal counters and hits a big release Dragon Suplex. Flair pulls Styles’ leg under the bottom rope to break up the pinfall attempt by Lethal.
Lethal then grabs Styles and applies a Figure Four in front of Flair. Flair flips out. Styles gets to the ropes to break it up. Lethal misses a flying elbow attempt. Styles catches Lethal with a Pele Kick. Styles favors his knee as he starts climbing up the corner and ends up dropping down on his face. Styles fights to the second rope, springboards off, Lethal catches him in mid air into a northern lights suplex into a bridge for the pinfall.
Winner: Jay Lethal
After the match, Ric Flair hits the ring and is furious. Jay Lethal jumps out and celebrates his win with the fans in the Impact Zone. Kazarian runs down and tries to hold off Flair who starts getting in the face of AJ Styles.
Backstage, Sting said he will cover lots of ground on his war against Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff tonight when he beats Rob Van Dam and takes his title officially.
Backstage, Christy Hemme is with Mr. Anderson and Jeff Hardy. Hardy said Beer Money is all talk. Anderson said they have a bigger problem: they don’t have a name. They come up with: Enegmatic Assholes.
Mr. Anderson & Jeff Hardy vs. Beer Money
We start with Anderson and Robert Roode. Quick tag to Jeff Hardy. Fans really behind both Anderson and Hardy. hardy and Roode mix it up and a quick tag to James Storm. Tag back to Anderson and both Anderson and Hardy double team Storm with a series of shots. Roode held open the ropes when Anderson tried to hit off them. Roode got in a few cheap shots, tossed Anderson back in and Storm get in a few knees to the body and head. Tag back to Roode who drops Anderson after a series of shots. Quick tag back to Storm who works over Anderson in the corner. Anderson with a clothesline on Storm. Hot tag to Hardy as Roode gets a tag. Hardy cleans house on both Beer Money members. Anderson is tossed out when he tries to get involved. Hardy with a Twist of Fate on Roode as Anderson pulled Storm out. Hardy connects with the Swanton Bomb on Roode, hooks the leg and Storm pulls out the referee. Storm runs away and falls down and the referee thinks Anderson pulled him out. Referee Slick Johnson pushes Anderson back to his corner after Beer Money got in a big double team on Hardy.
Storm drops Hardy with a big DDT. Tag to Roode who drops Hardy right away and a blind tag back to Storm. Beer Money with a double suplex on Hardy. Storm, the legal man, is put into a small package by Hardy for a close two count. Storm with a clothesline on Hardy and tag to Roode. Roode jumps on Hardy and applies a headlock. Hardy misses a springboard flip from the corner on Roode. Hardy drops Roode with a Twist of Fate. Hot tag to Anderson who cleans house on Beer Money. Hardy dropkicks Storm into the steel barricade and then jumps off the back of Anderson to take out Storm again. in the ring, Anderson goes for the Mic Check on Roode. Roode counters with a spinebuster. Hardy breaks up the pin. Hardy with a dropkick to the chest of Roode. storm gets Hardy up for the Eye of the Storm and connects. Storm is tossed out of the ring and Roode tosses Anderson up thinking Storm is behind him. Hardy tosses Anderson away and Anderson hits the Mic Check on Roode. A busted open Anderson covers Roode for the win.
Winner: Mr. Anderson & Jeff Hardy
After the match, Mr. Anderson announces Jeff Hardy as one of the winners. Hardy takes the mic away and announces Mr. Anderson as one of the winners as well.
A video package runs hyping the events between Rob Van Dam and Sting leading into tonight’s main event for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
TNA World Heavyweight Championship
Rob Van Dam (c) vs. Sting
Jeremy Borash did ring introductions for the challenger Sting and champion RVD.
The bell rings and we have a lock up right away. Sting pushes the action to the ramp and then to the ringside area. Sting drops RVD face first into the steel guard railing and then tosses him over into the crowd. RVD fights back sending Sting repeatedly into a wall near the rafters. RVD then tosses Sting over the railing and drops a leg over his back. Sting responds giving RVD a high back body drop into the concrete floor. Sting then goes to work on RVD sending him repeatedly into the wall near the rafters. Sting tosses RVD back over the railing and hits RVD with some right hands. Sting tosses RVD back in the ring and connects with a Stinger Splash. Sting with a second splash in the corner on RVD. Sting applies a headlock on RVD. RVD fights back to his feet and drops Sting with a big side kick to the face. Clotheslines from RVD to Sting and additional kicks that drop Sting. Sting misses a clothesline and RVD hits a springboard dropkick that results in a two count. RVD plants Sting down near the corner and hits a split leg moonsault for another two count. Sting charges at RVD and sends him into the corner.
RVD ends up taking out referee Earl Hebner in what has to be one of the most telegraphed ref bumps in history. RVD took out Hebner with a crossbody when Sting moved out of the way. Sting grabs his bat with the referee down and starts chopping away at the legs of RVD. Jeff Jarrett then walks down the ramp and hits the ring. Jarrett takes the bat away from Sting and hits Sting in the gut with it. Jarrett then hits Sting right in the jaw with the bat and yells at the referee to get back on his feet. Jarrett leaves the ring with the bat in hand. RVD hits the Rolling Thunder on Sting, hooks the leg and Sting kicks out after two with force. RVD misses a charge in the corner. Sting backs up and attempts a Stinger Splash. RVD moves, trips up Sting and connects with the Five Star Frog Splash. RVD hooks the leg of Sting…1…2…Sting almost kicks out…3…RVD retains.

After the match, we see highlights leading to the finish. Back live, Rob Van Dam jumps up on the corner with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on his shoulder. We go off the air with RVD celebrating and Mike Tenay thanking everyone for supporting and celebrating TNA’s eight year anniversary tonight.
