WWE Backstage News On Contracts For Returning Talent

According to a new report from Fightful Select several talents that were brought back to WWE SmackDown are under three-year deals, which are set to expire in the summer of 2025.

The members of Hit Row (“Top Dolla” AJ Francis, “B-Fab” Briana Brandy, Ashante “Thee” Adonis) reportedly all have matching contracts.

The report also indicates that some of the returning talents have representation from outside of WWE, and were able to negotiate different deals.

Fightful Select further notes several talent brought back were able to negotiate the ability to utilize some of their outside projects and outside platforms, which would not have been allowed at the time of their release under Vince McMahon. It is also said that many of those rules were already relaxed starting at WrestleMania 38, and is further said to be even more relaxed.

The report concludes preparation for some of the recent returns ranged from the day before, to less than one week, which, was said to be the case with Karrion Kross and Scarlett, to just a few weeks for Johnny Gargano and well over a month for Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. It could not confirmed if these names are under three-year contracts, and no confirmation that Bray Wyatt is signed to a longer contract, but it could be possible.

Wrestlers brought back in the Triple H era include Kross, Scarlett, Gargano, Anderson, Gallows, Dolla, B-Fab, Adonis, Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Dexter Lumis, Emma, Mia Yim, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Dakota Kai.
