‘Cowboy’ Bob Orton thinks doctors have told Randy Orton not to return to the ring

“Cowboy” Bob Orton recently spoke with Bill Apter on his Wrestling Binge podcast, providing an update on his son, WWE Superstar Randy Orton.

Bob Orton said that Randy is training and he doesn’t know if Randy feels like going back or when it feels like he (Randy) is ready to go back. Bob also said Randy is well taken care of and he (Bob) doesn’t think Randy needs to return to the ring. He went on to say he “thinks” the doctors have told Randy not to return, but that “Randy will do what Randy’s going to do.”

The update on Randy Orton is at the 3:38 mark of the video.

The last time Randy Orton competed in the ring was during the May 20, 2022 episode of WWE SmackDown, when he and Matt Riddle lost the Tag Team Championship Unification Match to the Usos. After that match, Randy has been away from WWE with a back injury.

In November of last year, Randy underwent back fusion surgery at Andrews Sports Medicine and the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama.
