As first reported by TMZ Sports on Monday and then confirmed by Fightful, Sonya Deville, who is one half of the WWE’s Women’s Tag Team Champions with Chelsea Green, suffered a torn ACL that will require surgery.
It was further noted that Deville will undergo a procedure on Tuesday to fix the torn ACL.
According to TMZ Sports sources, Deville tore her ACL during the women’s tag team match she and Green had against Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair on the July 28 episode of SmackDown.
As of this writing, there is no word on how long Deville will be out of action.
WWE is expected to address the Women’s Tag Team Championship situation during tonight’s episode of Raw.
