WWE Hall of Famer addresses retirement rumors ahead of 25th anniversary match

Speaking to Carlos Bustamante of ET Canada, Edge addressed rumors of his retirement going into the 8/18 edition of SmackDown.

At the show, emanating from the Scotiabank Arena in Edge’s hometown of Toronto, the Rated-R Superstar is set to face Sheamus in a match the WWE Hall of Famer confirmed is the last match on his current contract…but he is unsure what it means for his future with the company or in the business.

In particular, Edge notes the rigors of continuing to compete at his age factoring into the questions he has about retiring, stating:

“I’m gonna be 50 in October, you know? It’s not easy anymore. Before, what I used to be able to just take for granted to be able to do, now there’s a process and there’s a fallout…it’s the dream gig, but again, it’s getting really hard.”
