Report: WWE is “on the verge” of announcing new TV home for NXT

According to PWInsider, WWE is “on the verge” of announcing a new television home for NXT.

The report notes that multiple sources in the broadcast industry have confirmed the CW Network and WWE have been in deep discussions for weeks about NXT shifting from its current cable home on the USA Network, to a traditional broadcast television home. NXT would air live weekly on the CW Network.

It is not known if it will remain on Tuesday nights or air live on a different night of the week.

The current deal for NXT on the USA Network ends September 2024.

In addition, PWInsider also notes that the belief is the new deal is very close to being completed and is expected to be for five-years in length.

Furthermore, it was noted they once the deal is signed, this would be the biggest increase for NXT media rights fees ever.

NXT has aired on the USA Network since 2019.

It has been reported that the NWA signed two deals with the CW. However a cocaine spot from their most recent PPV could have a negative affect on those TV deals.
