Backstage WWE update on Kevin Dunn, what is was like to work with him, his duties

Fightful Select has a backstage update on Kevin Dunn following his departure from WWE at the end of 2023.

Fightful Select notes in their update that they recently spoke with a source who claimed Dunn was not nearly as difficult to work with as expected. However the same source did state that Dunn did demand the best work from everyone.

Dunn was involved in every aspect of the graphics, lighting, camera, audio, video and pyro for all of WWE’s television broadcasts. It was also said that Dunn was considered to be the ring leader of all of WWE’s television broadcasts throughout his tenure with the company.

When Dunn missed end of the year broadcasts, the producers for NXT would fill in.

Fightful Select also notes that Dunn was not at the 2023 Survivor Series due to taking time off for the holidays. Paul Levesque was in charge of the television broadcast for the event. Fightful Select further notes that Dunn worked well with Levesque, Vince McMahon, Bruce Pritchard and other producers. It was added that Dunn did not step on toes.

The report concluded that Dunn always had safety for talent and crew members as a main focus. An example provided, is when Cody Rhodes returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38. Dunn had the pyro delayed for a longer period of time to make sure all the camera crew on the entrance ramp area were clear so no injuries would occur.
