Nikki Bella says she was nervous for WWE return, support from others helped

During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella said she was nervous for her return to the company. Nikki appeared on this past Monday’s episode of Raw, that involved an in-ring segment with Liv Morgan.

“I was of course really nervous because it’s been so long, but it was crazy. And everyone kept telling me, they’d go, ‘Nikki, the minute you walk in that arena, you’re going to feel at home, and it’s all going to come back,’ and it was so true.”

This was Nikki’s first appearance on a weekly WWE television show since 2022. Nikki said she received countless text messages love from friends, family and co-workers, displaying love and support.

“It felt so good. I can’t tell you how many text messages I’ve gotten today, like, ‘Girl, it was like you were just right back in it. You could tell that’s your happy place.’ I’ve been getting so much love from friends and family and coworkers saying how natural it was to see me back in there. They all were like, you just seemed so happy and like you were back home.”

PEOPLE also notes that Nikki Bella began training this past January for her in-ring return at WWE’s performance center in Orlando, Florida, flying back and forth from the west coast to the east coast, while balancing her day-to-day life as a mother and hosting the Nikki & Brie podcast with her twin sister. It was further noted that the plan is for Nikki to have another extended in-ring run, rather than this past Monday’s appearance just being a one-off.

“You’ll definitely see me for a bit. It’s not a quick in and out.”

Nikki is set for another appearance on the June 16 episode of WWE Raw, which will air live on Netflix from the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

It was first reported earlier on Thursday, via TMZ Sports that Brie could be set for a return to the WWE. A source with direct knowledge says she is in talks to ‘unretire’ and help her sister at the July 13 all-women’s PLE, Evolution 2, which will take place from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
