As first reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, then confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, a number of WWE talent have requested ‘no cut’ contracts, but here told no. Meltzer further noted those talents were told they would never be cut, but when asked for it to be put in writing, WWE would not do it.
Metlzer said the following:
“I believe that there may be one or two guys with no cut contracts in WWE, but it’s very, very few. And I know top guys who tried to get no cut contracts and they were told no, as they’re told, ‘But we’re never gonna cut you.’ But they still wouldn’t put it in writing.”

Back on April 24, WWE released 23 talents, which included main roster, NXT and those from its developmental program. Over the weekend, the company released JC Mateo (Jeff Cobb) and Tanga Loa. The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) also mutually parted ways as the duo opted for their releases over having their seven figure contracts restructured.
