Per recent court records, WWE’s Ludwig Kaiser will be legally allowed to continue traveling for the promotion, despite his ongoing case.
The records indicate Kaiser’s attorney filed a supplemental version of his motion to allow out of state and international travel. It is also noted in the motion that Kaiser’s legal counsel has communicated with Florida’s assistant state attorney Shaylynne Kotch, further noting state will not be objecting to the motion.

Since the initial filing of the Motion to Travel, undersigned counsel communicated with Assistant State Attorney Shaylynne Kotch, who indicated no objection to this motion.
WHEREFORE, for the foregoing reasons, the Defendant respectfully requests this Honorable Court to enter an Order allowing him to travel out of the State of Florida and internationally.
Kaiser (real name Marcel Barthel),was arrested this Wednesday in Orange County, Florida on battery charges, after he turned himself in for an April 23 incident that set in motion a warrant for his arrest. Barthel posted a $1,000 bond for his release, as court records list Walter Hahn (Gunther) as the individual who paid the bond.

The incident involved another male resident at his Orlando, Florida apartment complex. The alleged victim states that Kaiser and a female were “uncontrollably intimate” in an elevator. The victim also says he told Barthel and the female to “please have some manners” after he exited the elevator on the 12th floor of the building. Barthel then punched him several times and shoved him, causing him to hit the floor. After Orlando Police reviewed camera footage near the elevator, the suspect was identified as Barthel. Furthermore, the victim was also to properly identify Kaiser out of six individuals from a photo lineup.
Barthel has been ordered to have no contact with victims or witnesses and was granted one supervised return to the apartment accompanied by law enforcement.
To date, WWE has not commented on the situation.
Kaiser has a match in Mexico City next Saturday, May 30, as part of the AAA Noche de Los Grandes event. Kaiser, under his gimmick of El Grande Americano, is scheduled to square off against the Original El Grande Americano (Chad Gable) in a mask vs. mask match. it is expected that Kaiser will lose and unmask, thus putting an end to the feud.
Lucha Libre AAA announced on social media that Kaiser, under his El Grande Americano gimmick is now going to have his match on Friday, May 22. It had originally been canceled after he was arrested.
