It’s time once again for your weekly ROH on HDNet recap! So, sit back, relax, open a cold one, and get ready for RING OF HONOR WRESTLING!

Here’s how things went down this week:

-We see a replay of the introductions of the wrestlers who will compete to be in the Top Prospect Tournament. Clip also includes when “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett ran his mouth about how he is gonna win the tourney. Only one match has been concluded in the tourney, it was when Kyle O’Reilly advanced to the second round, after he beat John Gresham. Tonight, we will have the conclusion of round one in the 2011 Top Prospect Tournament.

1st ROUND
TOP PROSPECT TOURNAMENT
“THE PRODIGY” MIKE BENNETT def. ADAM COLE

-After the match, Steve Corino tells Bennett that overconfidence can loose you matches and your worst enemy. Bennett runs his mouth and tells Corino to sit down and leave the wrestling to the “real” athletes.

1st ROUND
TOP PROSPECT TOURNAMENT
MICHAEL ELGIN def. BOBBY DEMPSEY

-After the match, Steve Corino gives his thoughts on Elgin. He tells Elgin that he’s a power house and to follow his own path instead of following the words of Truth Martini!

-Backstage, Kyle Durden interviews Kenny King on his match tonight for the ROH TV Title against Christopher Daniels. King says that he’s gonna start his singles goal tonight by beating the “Fallen Angel.”

–COMMERCIAL–

-Backstage, Kyle Durden interviews Andy “Right Leg” Ridge and Grizzly Redwood. Both men give their thoughts on winning the Top Prospect Tournament. They will face one another to see who gets to move on to the second round of the tournament.

1st ROUND
TOP PROSPECT TOURNAMENT
ANDY “RIGHT LEG” RIDGE def. GRIZZLY REDWOOD

-Backstage, we cut to a shot of a hot ass female in a black dress. Once we see who she is, Prince Nana and Mr. Ernesto Osiris walk in and say that they finally got their hands on Princess Nia (the chick in the black dress). Apparently she has joined the Embassy, who has not been seen since last year!

–COMMERCIAL–

-Backstage, Kyle Durden is with ROH World Heavyweight Champion Roderick Strong and Truth Martini. Durden informs Strong that he will be facing 3 men next week in a 4 way dance. It will be Strong vs. Jay Briscoe vs. Homicide vs. El Generico! Strong goes on and tells us that he will do whatever it takes to keep the ROH title. Next week’s match is non-title!

MAIN EVENT
ROH TV TITLE MATCH
“THE FALLEN ANGEL” CHRISTOPHER DANIELS (champ) def. KENNY KING

FINAL THOUGHTS

-First off, I would like to apologize for missing a week of ROH and for not giving you all the action of ROH last week because I was dealing with a nasty case of the flu! But I’m back, and better than ever, so lets get this party started!

-We are now down to the final 4 men in the 2011 Top Prospect Tournament! In my opinion, the four men who will compete next week surely deserve to be in the semi-final matches! I just don’t get why Steve Corino has such a big opinion on the matter, but after dealing with a psycho named Kevin Steen all last year, I could see why Corino wants to be apart of this tournament! Right now, my favorite to win the tournament is Michael Elgin! Why Elgin?! Well, this man reminds me of an army tank, he just doesn’t back down! I saw him lift 400 lbs. of Bobby Dempsey over his head and pile drive him down to the mat with a power bomb! Elgin has Kyle O’Reilly next week, so that match should be interesting! But still, my favorite has to be Elgin!

-Where the hell has Prince Nana been at all these months?! I mean, the promo tonight with Princess Nia was very funny and I was caught off guard by his participation in the promo! Good stuff, again, by The Embassy and Prince Nana!

-Finally, our main event tonight was fairly entertaining! Christopher Daniels proves week in and week out that he is, without question, the best in ROH! I missed his most recent match at the 9th Anniversary Show against Edwards, but from the recap that I read here on Wrestleview, it sounded like it was a pretty even match! Daniels tonight took Kenny King to school in single’s title matches! Great match!

Next Week on ROH on HDNet:
-(Non-Title) ROH Champion Roderick Strong vs. Jay Briscoe vs. El Generico vs. Homicide
-2nd Round of the Top Prospect Tournament
