Hello everyone and welcome to this week’s ROH on Sinclair report. This week and next week will be special “Road Rage” editions of the show, with matches from the most recent Internet PPVs, Showdown in the Sun. This week’s matches are from the 1st night of action, so if you all are ready, then let’s get on with the show!

Kevin Kelly & Nigel McGuinness welcome us to the show and mention that this week, they will show the Mike Bennett vs. Lance Storm and Kevin Steen vs. El Generico matches in their entirety. Also, they will show highlights of the The Briscoes vs. TMDK Proving Ground match and the Triple Threat match for the Ring of Honor World Title between champion Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards & Roderick Strong.

We then go to a video of pre-match comments from Mike Bennett. Bennett says that it is time for some clichés and he talks about being forced off the beaches from Fort Lauderdale for this match. Tonight, the only thing that will be getting shut down is Lance Storm’s career.

At his age and place in his life, the next time he stands in the ring could be his last one. However, he is not going to go out like this. He will not be laid out by an ignorant prick like Mike Bennett. Storm says he wants one more match with Bennett. Not for Ring of Honor, not for the fans, but for himself. Kevin Kelly tells us that we will see two matches from Night Two of Showdown in the Sun next week as we go to commercial.

Commercial

Back from commercial, we go to this week’s “Inside Ring of Honor”.

First off, we see highlights from the Triple Threat main event from Night 1.

We then see the press conference for Border Wars from last week that announced the main event for the Ring of Honor World Title between champion Davey Richards and Kevin Steen.

We go to Jim Cornette, who says that he has not been protecting Davey Richards by not making the match between him and Kevin Steen. Cornette says that he is protecting Kevin Steen because whatever form of match, whether it be wrestling, jiu jitsu, or a street fight, he could break Steen in half. He says that he has no idea what sort of plot that Steen has where he would end up the World Champion. Jim says that Ring of Honor is putting its faith and trust in Davey Richards.

We then hear 3 newly announced matches for the Border Wars Internet PPV on May 12th, which are as follows:

“The Belfast Bruiser” Fit Finlay vs. Ring of Honor Television Champion Roderick Strong w/Truth Martini
Fight Without Honor for the Ring of Honor Tag Team Titles: The Briscoes (c) vs. Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team
“Die Hard” Eddie Edwards vs. “The Man Beast” Rhino w/Truth Martini

We go to Eddie Edwards, who tells Martini that he knows that Martini doesn’t want the Man Beast to have the title. He just wants Eddie and everyone out of the way to allow his boy Roderick Strong to get the World Title. Eddie says that Rhino has faced the best and has Gored the best. He has gored men bigger and stronger than him, but he is Die Hard. Eddie says that he is going on safari on May 12th and he will be hunting rhinoceros.

Kevin Kelly plugs next week’s “Road Rage” show as we go to credits.

There will be no thoughts this week or next week as these are matches from the most recent Internet PPV. However, if you would like to hear a detailed review of both “Showdown in the Sun” Internet PPVs, you can listen to the “free” podcast review that was done with NXT Recapper Gregory “Grash” Walek, Independent Roundtable Co-Host Nicholas Gray & myself at this link: click here.

Well, that will do it for me this week. I want to thank you all for reading and I will be back next week, but remember.

If you are a non-VIP, every Thursday, myself and Nicholas “OneManX” Gray bring you The Wrestleview Independent Roundtable, looking at the world of Indy wrestling, whether it be from Ring of Honor, FCW, SHIMMER, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, CHIKARA, CZW, Dragon Gate USA, EVOLVE, and many more independents from around the world with weekly recaps of the ROH & FCW TV shows and DVD reviews. For more visit vip.wrestleview.com.

(Programming Note: Over the next 2 weeks, my co-host Nicholas Gray will not be on the show as he is getting ready for his move over to Florida. So because of that, I will be joined this week by NXT recapper Gregory “Grash” Walek to review this past weekend’s EVOLVE 11 & SHIMMER Volume 43. Then next week, I am tentatively scheduled to be joined by both Grash and Teacher’s Lounge co-host “Mr. V” Anthony Valvo to talk ROH’s Rise & Prove & Underground shows along with this past weekend’s CZW Best of the Best XI.)

So with that, I’ll see ya next week for more Ring-of-Honor!
