ROH on Sinclair Results – 12/13/14 (Tag Wars 1st Round)

We start with a promo from the Briscoes, who say that Truth Martini can’t buy the ROH Tag Team Titles with Jay Lethal and J. Diesel and that tonight, the Briscoes would knock them out in Round 1 and then become 9-time ROH Tag Team Champions.

We see the usual intro, then go to the opening match of Tag Wars, where on this show, there will be 3 first-round matches. The winners will face reDRagon in 2 weeks in a 4-Way Elimination Match for the ROH Tag Team Titles.

Tag Wars 2014 First Round Match: The House of Truth (Ring of Honor Television Champion “The First-Generation Wrestler” Jay Lethal & J. Diesel) w/Truth Martini vs. #DemBoys The Briscoes (Ring of Honor World Champion Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe)

Diesel shows off his power early, knocking Mark down with some shoulder tackles. House of Truth takes control as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial as the Briscoes take over, double teaming Diesel. Lethal in, but Jay takes control on him. Diesel & Martini trip up Jay, allowing Lethal to take over. Diesel & Martini then send Jay groin-first into the ringpost. Lethal takes control, but then Jay regains control by hitting Lethal with a superplex. Mark in, makes a comeback on Diesel. All four men begin brawling in the ring, with the Briscoes sending Lethal to the outside.

Jay Driller by Jay to Diesel, followed by the Froggy Bow by Mark for the win.

Tag Wars 2014 First Round Match: The Decade (“The Zombie Princess” Jimmy Jacobs & “The Buzzsaw” BJ Whitmer) vs. The Addiction (“The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels & Kazarian)

Before the match, Whitmer shoves around one of the ROH attendants who is also Steve Corino’s son, Colby. Decade attacks Addiction before the bell. Addiction takes back over and begins working over Jacobs. Decade then takes control on Kazarian as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial as the Decade continue to work over Kazarian. Kazarian makes a comeback and tags in Daniels. Daniels lays waste to the Decade, springboard moonsault on Whitmer, Jacobs breaks up the pin. Decade then hit a series of double teams on Daniels for a nearfall. All four brawl in the ring, Jacobs sent to the outside.

Tomikaze by Kazarian to Whitmer for the win.

Back from commercial, we go to a promo from reDRagon, decked in Christmas attire. Fish says that reDRagon has never ducked a challenge in their careers. O’Reilly says that Tag Wars is a pathetic attempt to find worthy challengers to their titles. Fish says that if teams want to fight them so bad for the titles, say their name reDRagon three times. Fish says it twice, but O’Reilly cuts him off on the third and says he wouldn’t wish that on his worst enemy.

Main Event in a Tag Wars 2014 First Round Match: The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. “The Last Hero” ACH & #Reborn Matt Sydal

Back and forth craziness early from both teams. Bucks take control on Sydal, but Sydal comes back with a jawbreaker/reverse DDT combo on the Bucks. ACH then wipes out the Bucks with a Foxbury Flop on the outside! Back in, ACH & Sydal head up top on parallel corners, but Nick shoves the ref into the ropes, crotching Sydal. Bucks take out ACH, then Nick hits Sydal with a Tornado DDT on the outside. ACH slips out of More Bang for your Buck, but then the Bucks hit him with the IndyTaker, Sydal breaks up the pin. Bucks go to treat Sydal with a Superkick Party, but Sydal ducks and forces Matt to kick his own brother.

Sydal heads up top, Shooting Star Press to Nick, then ACH hits Nick with the Midnight Star for the win.
