Buddy Murphy

Fox Sports Australia is featuring an article about Buddy Murphy capturing the WWE Cruiserweight Championship on Saturday at the Super Show-Down event.

The article notes that Murphy, who is from Melbourne, is now the first ever Australian to capture a main roster WWE championship.

Murphy spoke in detail about winning the title in front of over 70,000 fans.

It’s pretty indescribable. It was WrestleMania for me. I captured what I said I was going to capture, the Cruiserweight Championship, and I did it in front of my friends and my family. And (in front of) everyone that didn’t believe in me, everyone that laughed at me for wanting to pursue this career of professional wrestling and as a sports entertainer.
