Find out who is replacing John Cena at Crown Jewel; Cena removed from World Cup

John Cena's replacement at Crown Jewel

Bobby Lashley replacing John Cena at WWE Crown Jewel

During tonight’s WWE RAW, Bobby Lashley lost to Finn Balor by disqualification. After the match, Lashley ended up acting Balor.

Acting General Manager Baron Corbin liked what happened and decided to reward Lashley with a spot in the WWE World Cup at Crown Jewel. Lashley asked Corbin who he would be replacing and Baron said the person who never qualified to begin with, John Cena.

As reported on earlier, many WWE stars did not feel comfortable performing in Saudi Arabia in the wake of the disappearance and later confirmed death of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi, something WWE has received media backlash for.

Daniel Bryan has reportedly been touted as one of these performers and remains scheduled for the event this Friday, challenging AJ Styles for the WWE Championship.
