The Big Lead recently interviewed Mark Evans, SVP of Sales at FOX Sports, about WWE Smackdown moving to FOX Sports in the fall and their declining ratings on the USA Network.
“We feel how we’re going to present and how we’re going to promote the WWE is going to inject it with such a new life. It’s going to be a home run for us.”
During the WWE’s earnings call on July 25 following the release of their second quarter results, WWE Co-President Michelle Wilson said that FOX would soon be heavily pushing WWE across all platforms ahead of the move.
WWE Smackdown will move to FOX Sports on October 4, airing live every Friday night on the channel.
