NXT Injury Report: Matt Riddle listed as injured, Tommaso Ciampa cleared for action

There are multiple injuries to report following Wednesday night’s episode of WWE NXT. These injuries are largely considered to be part of a storyline, but there are legitimate injuries put in with the fabricated injuries.

Former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa is being listed as “medically cleared for action” after a long recovery from neck surgery. Ciampa has been out of action since March following neck surgery. Ciampa was forced to relinquish the NXT Championship as a result.

NXT Tag Team Champion Kyle O’Reilly is also being listed as “day-to-day” after sustaining an AC joint sprain during the main event on Wednesday against The Street Profits. Candice LeRae is also listed as “day-to-day” with a neck contusion. Shane Thorne sustained an AC sprain facing Johnny Gargano and is also “day-to-day.”

Finally, Matt Riddle, who was unsuccessful in his NXT Championship match against Adam Cole, is not medically cleared for action after being hit with Cole’s cast.
