Randy Orton confirms he has signed a multi-year extension with WWE

Randy Orton signs new contract

According to multiple reports and confirmed on WWE Backstage tonight, Randy Orton has signed a new multi-year extension with WWE.

Orton sent out a tweet stating that this is a 5-year extension. It is not known how much money he will be making on the deal.

This puts an end to any speculation that Orton is looking to leave WWE at the end of his contract, which was originally set to expire in the summer of 2020. In recent weeks, Orton was hinting online at leaving the company. Orton took a picture in front of an “Elite Level” sign at a hotel and tagged AEW Champion Chris Jericho and Cody Rhodes in the post.

The son of WWE Hall of Famer Cowboy Bob Orton, the third generation wrestler made his debut in 2002. Orton has gone on to be one of the most decorated superstars in WWE history. He is a Grand Slam Champion and a Triple Crown Winner having been a 13-time World Champion, an Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, and a 2-time Tag Team Champion. Orton has also won the Royal Rumble in 2009 and 2017 and won the Money in the Bank contract in 2013.
