Three matches have been set for the January 15 edition of WWE NXT.
There will be a #1 Contender’s Battle Royal for the NXT Women’s Championship. The match will feature Mia Yim, Bianca Belair, Candice LeRae, Chelsea Green, Dakota Kai, Vanessa Borne, Kayden Carter, Santana Garrett, Io Shirai, Shotzi Blackheart, and Xia Li. This will be the NXT television in-ring debut for Green. Green has previously wrestled on Monday Night Raw in a losing effort against Charlotte Flair.
In a 1st Round Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, KUSHIDA will reunite with Alex Shelley to take on Zack Gibson and James Drake (The Grizzled Young Veteran) of NXT UK. This will be Shelley’s first appearance for WWE NXT. KUSHIDA and Shelley are two-time IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions.
Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne will be taking on Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews in another 1st Round Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic match.
Finally in two weeks on January 22, Keith Lee will battle Roderick Strong for the NXT North American Championship. Lee defeated Damian Priest, Dominik Dijakovic, and Cameron Grimes in a Fatal 4-Way Match on tonight’s WWE NXT.
