Another champion not competing at WrestleMania 36, replacement made from NXT

Andrade pulled from WrestleMania

SPOILERS for WrestleMania 36 below.

According to a report by PWInsider, WWE United States Champion Andrade did not tape a match for WrestleMania 36.

Andrade was supposed to team with Angel Garza to take on The Street Profits for the Raw Tag Team Championship at the event. Unlike most people that have been pulled from the event, Andrade is not exhibiting any signs of illness. During the Raw taping, Andrade injured his ribs and was not cleared to compete when they taped WrestleMania 36 this past Wednesday and Thursday.

A replacement from NXT has been brought up. According to POST Wrestling, an angle was shot to air on this week’s Raw to bring NXT Superstar Austin Theory up to replace Andrade. This should be taken strictly as a rumor.

Andrade joins a long list of superstars unable to appear at WrestleMania, including Roman Reigns, who pulled out of the event due to health concerns.

We will continue to follow this story as more develops.
