WWE told to shut down operations by Orange County Sheriff before being named essential

Orange County Sheriff Department

According to a report by Stephanie Coueignoux of Spectrum News in Orlando, Florida, before WWE was deemed an essential service, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department was called out to the Performance Center to advise them to shut down as they were not complying with the state’s stay-at-home order.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department told Coueignoux deputies responded to the WWE Performance Center numerous times in March and April. The deputies informed officials they were not in compliance with the Governor Ron DeSantis’ Executive Order and would have to close down. Days later on April 9, WWE was labeled an essential service by the state government.
