WWE confirms WWE 2K21 video game canceled, further details coming Monday

WWE confirms WWE 2K21 video game canceled

WWE Interim Chief Financial Frank A. Riddick III confirmed near the end of Thursday’s Q1 Financial Report that there will be no WWE 2K21 video game released this year.

This would mark for the first time since 1997 that a WWE video game will not be released annually.

WWE Games took to Twitter (view below) following Thursday’s briefing that they will be sharing details on the future the WWE 2K franchise, as well as some exciting news this Monday morning at 7:00 am PT.

Back on April 11, Justin Lepper, a former writer for the Raw vs. SmackDown video game series, posted a video on YouTube (view below) indicating that the WWE 2K21 game has been canceled, and that another game is coming.

WWE 2K20, which was released last October for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC received an average score of 43 percent on metacritic.com.
