Payback returning

According to a report confirmed by PWInsider, WWE will be reviving the Payback event on Sunday, August 30, one week after WWE presents SummerSlam.

WWE’s internal calendar reportedly has Payback taking place at the WWE Performance Center. Fightful reports that WWE had informed some partners in early-July that the company was planning a WWE Network special on August 30, though further details were not known at that time.

WWE has not officially confirmed Payback as taking place on August 30. Payback was a yearly PPV event from 2013 to 2017.

SummerSlam location update

When WWE issued a press release confirming reports that SummerSlam was not taking place in Boston this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company stated that “a new location for the event is forthcoming.”
