WWE announces Matt Riddle vs. King Corbin for this Sunday’s Payback pay-per-view

Matt Riddle vs. King Corbin taking place at Sunday’s Payback PPV

WWE announces Matt Riddle vs. King Baron Corbin is now official for this Sunday’s Payback pay-per-view.

The feud between Riddle and Corbin over the past several weeks on Friday Night SmackDown finally came to a head.

During last night’s episode on FOX, Riddle came to the ring and called Corbin out for a fight. Corbin then distracted Riddle and allowed Shorty G to attack him from behind yet again.

It was then that Corbin accepted a match on behalf of Shorty G. Riddle hit a knee to the face of Shorty G, followed by the Bro Derek for the win. Corbin then tried attacking Riddle following the match, but was sent retreating. Later during the show, Corbin then ranted backstage to Kayla Braxton about he’s going to destroy Riddle on Sunday, to prove that Riddle doesn’t belong in this kingdom.

Payback will take place this Sunday, August 30 from the Amway Center in Orlando live on pay-per-view and also will stream live on the WWE Network beginning at 7:00 pm ET.

Below is the current line-up for Payback:
