Matt Riddle and WWE reportedly working on new three year $1.2 million deal

WWE and Matt Riddle working on new three year deal

According to a new report by FW4Online, WWE and Matt Riddle are close to a new three year, $1.2 million deal.

It is being said that Riddle’s current deal is up in August 2021, and that the new contract would be guaranteed at $400,000 per year in addition to $50,000 for every event worked in Saudi Arabia.

It was also noted that according to FW4Online,”the story is that Vince (McMahon) doesn’t understand his Bro gimmick but loves the vignettes he’s doing as he finds them hilarious.”

Riddle signed with WWE in the summer of 2018 and was part of the NXT brand until June 2020.  He held the NXT Tag Team Titles with Pete Dunne.

Riddle made his debut on Friday Night SmackDown the same day that he was accused of sexual assault by professional wrestler Candy Cartwright (Samantha Tavel) which he has repeatedly denied.

Back in October Cartwright sued Riddle, WWE, and EVOLVE’s Gabe Sapolsky. WWE wanted to move the case to federal court instead of municipal court earlier this month.

He moved to the Raw in October and had his first name dropped by WWE creative shortly thereafter.
