Video: Triple H appears at NXT Stand & Deliver, hugs Tommaso Ciampa

Triple H appeared at Saturday’s NXT 2.0 Stand and Deliver event, embracing Tommaso Ciampa, in what looks to be Ciampa’s last match on the NXT 2.0 roster.

Ciampa lost to Tony D’Angelo. After the match, Ciampa got back up on his feet, as the fans chanted “thank you Ciampa”. As Ciampa walked up the ramp-way, Triple H’s music then hit, and then he came out and hugged Ciampa. Triple H then raised Ciampa’s before making his exit. Ciampa then posed for the fans in attendance before leaving to the backstage area.

Over the past several weeks, Ciampa has been wrestling on both WWE Raw and WWE Main Event. He competed in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal during this past Friday night’s WWE SmackDown, which was won by Madcap Moss.

Saturday was the first time Triple H appeared on NXT TV since his health issues. It was last August Triple H suffered a cardiac event. During a recent interview with Stephen A. Smith on ESPN, he announced that he was retiring from in-ring competition, revealing that he now has a defibrillator in his chest.
