Brian James, known as WWE Hall of Famer “The Road Dogg” Jesse James, is back with WWE.
First reported by PWInsider and later confirmed by F4WOnline, Road Dogg is returning to the company as the Senior Vice President of Live Events. This position was formerly held by Jeff Jarrett. Yesterday, we reported that Jarrett has departed WWE in the last week.
PWInsider reports that Road Dogg is not backstage at Raw tonight in Toronto, but word is making the rounds backstage that he is back with the company. There is no word yet on when he will start the position.
Road Dogg previously worked extensively in NXT but was released in January 2022. He had also previously been the head writer of the Creative Team for SmackDown before leaving the position following WrestleMania 35 in 2019.
Over the past few months, Road Dogg had been campaigning for a job in AEW and IMPACT Wrestling.
