According to Fightful Select, WWE had an interest in bringing back the Good Brothers “as early as this summer” when they were still under contract with IMPACT Wrestling.
The report also notes Gallows and Anderson “were very transparent” with IMPACT Wrestling management about WWE’s interest in them towards the end of their contracts, which ended up “going a month longer than expected.”
It was further noted that there is still uncertainty over Anderson & Gallows working NJPW dates, even though the tag team previously said that they were committed to wrestling for NJPW through Wrestle Kingdom 2023. Anderson, is the current NJPW NEVER Openweight Champion, and is scheduled to defend the title against Hikuleo on November 5, which is the same day as WWE’s Crown Jewel event.
The Good Brothers made their surprise return to Monday night’s season premiere of WWE Raw to reunite with AJ Styles, to further the feud with Judgement Day.
