Updates on Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre and Charlotte Flair

The following are updates on Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre and Charlotte Flair per F4WOnline.

Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre both suffered ruptured eardrums. It was noted neither is expected to miss much time. McIntyre worked through December 4 house show, that took place in Portland, ME. The report notes McIntyre did not even realize he was hurt until he was checked out after the event. F4WOnline further said that McIntyre is expected to be back in time for the post-Christmas shows. Reigns is not listed on the schedule for those events.

F4WOnline said Reigns suffered his broken eardrum after taking a slap from Kevin Owens near the end of the WarGames Match. He was reportedly upset backstage for just a short time after.

We reported this past Monday that McIntyre was medically disqualified from performing on Friday’s night’s SmackDown. He was scheduled to team up with Sheamus to challenge the Usos for the tag team championships, but was replaced by Butch of the Brawling Brutes.

WWE is said to be in the process of making creative for Charlotte Flair’s return. She has not appeared on WWE television since losing the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Ronda Rousey in an “I Quit” match at WrestleMania Backlash this past May.

WWE furthered the storyline to write Charlotte off TV so she could prepare for her wedding to current AEW star Andrade El Idolo, saying she would be out of action “indefinitely” due to suffering a fractured forearm bone as a result of the “I Quit Match.”

Charlotte was recently in a ring with NXT Superstars Zoey Stark and Alba Fyre.
