Two Title Matches are set to take place on next week’s WWE SmackDown, from Schottenstein Center in Columbus, OH.
Gunther will defend the Intercontinental Championship against Xavier Woods.
This match was set up during Friday night’s show when Imperium were backstage as Gunther was speaking to Vinci and Kaiser in German. In came Woods playing the trombone. Kaiser told him that Imperium are working as he keeps playing. Gunther stopped Kaiser as he turned to Woods. Gunther told Woods if he wanted his attention, he should approach him in a respectful manner. But Woods is a goof and he doesn’t like goofs. And he can beat the respect into him on the mat.
Woods then told Gunther he has been champion for a long time and they never had a match. And with the draft coming up, he feels like he is more than ready to take his title.
The other title match will be WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan (c) defending the titles against Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville
The third match announced for next week’s show is Braun Strowman & Ricochet vs. The Viking Raiders.
