According to Fightful Select the reason Johnny Gargano has not been seen on WWE TV or has not wrestled since March, is said to him having re-aggravated a previous shoulder injury, which had him sidelined for most of January.
The report also notes Gargano’s shoulder injury reportedly became worse after his return at The Royal Rumble, and by the time of the Stand & Deliver event, it was said Gargano was hindered with just to using just one arm.
The hope from WWE officials is that Gargano can repair the injury with physical therapy instead of surgery.
There was said to have been some speculation that Vince McMahon’s return as Chairman was the reason Gargano has been not seen on WWE television. However, this is not accurate.
Fightful Select concluded by noting that Vince McMahon was actually involved in talking with Gargano when his first contract ended back in late 2021 and wanted Gargano to sign a new deal to remain with WWE.
