According to PWInsider, WWE had targeted Carlito for a return to WWE last week.
The report notes that Carlito was not backstage at Madison Square Garden for last Friday’s WWE SmackDown. However, PWInsider did further say that sources confirmed that Carlito did travel to the Northeast for WWE last weekend.
PWInsider added that a reader notified the publication on Tuesday, saying that they did see Carlito waiting for a flight from Pittsburgh this past Sunday. It should be noted that WWE’s medical program headquarters are located in Pittsburgh, PA.
The report concluded by saying that one WWE source noted that Carlito’s return on last week’s SmackDown “would have been lost in the wake of the Bloodline”.
Carlito made a surprise appearance at the Backlash premium live event back on May 6, in Puerto Rico, where he and Savio Vega assisted Bad Bunny to defeat The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest in a San Juan Street Fight.
