According to Deadline, former WWE Superstar Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa (Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom) are teaming with Blue Beetle director Ángel Manuel Soto on a new buddy action comedy called The Wrecking Crew.
The report notes that Bautista and Momoa were both in talks for the film long before the SAG-AFTRA strike and the deal for the film to be scripted by John Tropper was said to be negotiated and closed prior to the Hollywood writer’s strike which began this past May.
There are no plot details at this time. However, it was also said that Bautista and Momoa sold the pitch to MGM following a four-bidder battle in the fall 2021.
