According to PWInsider, Johnny Gargano’s return to Monday night’s WWE Raw was said to be a creative decision. It was also said plans for Gargano’s return were locked in towards the end of the weekend with him traveling to Raw in San Jose on early Monday and being kept hidden.
Gargano came out to save Tommaso Ciampa, who had been attacked by Imperium after he was unsuccessful in capturing the Intercontinental Championship from Gunther.
