Fightful Select has an update on a recent report from WrestlingInc that Finn Balor’s WWE contract is set to expire at the end of WrestleMania 40 and that WWE has yet to talk with Balor about a new deal.
According to Fightful Select’s report, a source close to Balor is claiming that his current deal with WWE expires a few months after WrestleMania 40. The report also adds as it pertains to the company not approaching Balor about a potential new deal, it is said to be the same for Balor as it is for other talent within WWE who have current deals that are close to their expiration dates. Examples provided are Drew McIntyre and Becky Lynch. There has been reports indicating McIntyre’s current WWE deal is up shortly after WrestleMania, while and Lynch’s current deal with WWE is reportedly up in June of this year.
Balor and Damian Priest (Judgment Day) are scheduled to defend the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) on next week’s WWE Raw.
