‘Peacemaker’ series starring John Cena begins Season 2 filming this summer

Deadline has reported that the DC live-action series Peacemaker has been confirmed to begin filming this summer for its second season.

The news was seemingly confirmed by series star Jennifer Holland, who replied to a question on social media about the show:

This confirmation follows a tease from fellow star Danielle Brooks at the Critics Choice Award red carpet.

Peacemaker, starring John Cena as the titular hero/anti-hero and currently streaming on Max, continues Cena’s role from the 2021 film The Suicide Squad, directed by James Gunn.

Gunn serves as an executive producer on the series, with Cena credited as co-executive producer.
