WWE abandons trademark of a former nickname for Becky Lynch

Per a report by Fightful, WWE has officially abandoned the trademark of a former nickname for Becky Lynch.

Back on May 24, 2024 WWE filed paperwork to abandon the trademark for “Big Time Becks.”

WWE had initially filed for the “Big Time Becks” trademark back in September 2021, but was opposed nine days after the filing. Legal proceedings had been ongoing as recently as April 1, according to public records obtained by Fightful. A discovery conference was ordered this past March.

Fightful concluded their report by noting the trademark filing was opposed by James K. Duck, who has a trademark on “Bigtime” in relation to professional wrestling.

Becky Lynch lost the Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan at Saturday’s King and Queen of the Ring PLE. Lynch’s current WWE contract is set to expire in a short period of time.
