Wardlow and other competitors on American Gladiators reboot on-screen names revealed

AEW’s Wardlow has released a teaser for the Amazon Prime Video American Gladiators reboot, which reveals the new names for each competitor.

Jessie “Mr. Pectacular” Godderz, former two-time TNA World Tag Team champion and a regular on the CBS Big Brother franchise, will be going by the name of Steel

Dani Speegle, Six-time CrossFit Games athlete, The Titan Games S2 winner, Model and former gymnast and Professional 7’s rugby player, competes as Crush

Kailey “Kamille” Latimer, who is a former NWA Women’s Champion and has also made appearances for AEW, will be known as Hurricane

Wardlow, who has been out of action with a torn pec after making his return at the 2025 AEW Forbidden Door PPV, has the name of FANG

Dani Means, IFBB Pro bodybuilder and World Champion powerlifter will be going by the name of Voltage

Eric “Rick Boogs” Bugenhagen, who is a former WWE Superstar will be known as The Bull

Jessica “J-Rod” Roden, former OVW Women’s Champion will be competing as Supernova

Sydney Hunter, who is a former track athlete and Elite powerlifter has the name Huntress

Emily Nelson, former personal trainer and NCAA athlete will compete as Striker

Lu Faustin, IFBB Figure Pro bodybuilder will be known by Empire

Abigail Lay, who is a fitness coach will compete as Blaze

The show’s host is WWE Superstar The Miz.

The first season of the series is scheduled to begin to airing on Amazon Prime Video April 17, 2026. The contestants will battle for a $100,000 prize money and the title of American Gladiator Champion. The first season will be 10-parts, airing over three weeks. The original series aired weekly in syndication from September 1989 to May 1996.

The show began production during summer 2025 at Aren’Ice in Cergy, France. This was the first time American Gladiators was filmed entirely outside of the United States.
