CM Punk signs multi-fight deal with UFC, announced at PPV

During tonight’s UFC 181 PPV broadcast in Las Vegas it was announced by UFC commentator Joe Rogan during an interview with former WWE star CM Punk (Phil Brooks) that Punk has signed a multi-fight deal with the company. This would make Punk the second pro wrestler to sign a contract with UFC, with the first being current WWE World Heavyweight Champion and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.

Details of Punk’s contract with UFC are unknown as of this writing. Punk states he has yet to decide on a training camp and that various weight classes are a possibility including welterweight or middleweight. Punk will make his MMA debut with UFC in 2015.
