According to multiple wrestling media reports on Friday, Paige has not been cleared by WWE to make a return to the ring and could likely be done as a performer for the company.
PWInsider.com first reported the story early Friday evening noting that Paige (Saraya-Jade Bevis) was informed at the RAW taping hits past Monday in Memphis that she would not be cleared to return after suffering an injury at a live event in late December.
For those who may recall, footage made the rounds showing Sasha Banks dropkicking Paige in the back/neck area at a WWE live event in Uniondale, New York. She went down immediately, made an attempt to recover and then fall back down.

The match was immediately stopped and thrown out. While a stretcher was brought out to the ring, Paige was able to get to her feet and as helped to the back by WWE officials. She was then immediately pulled from the ring and hadn’t wrestled since at any live events.
Paige, 25, remains advertised for the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match in two weeks in Philadelphia, but will likely be pulled based on these new reports. Her situation was described to be very similar to what Adam “Edge” Copeland faced where he was not medically cleared to make a return to the ring after WrestleMania 27.
The report by Mike Johnson over at PWInsider indicated that testing had been done on Paige in the weeks following her injury at the live event in New York. She had just made a return to the company last November, her first appearance on WWE since June of 2016. While out of action, she underwent surgery to repair a badly damaged neck.
Neither Paige or WWE have commented on the stories as of 7:00 p.m. ET this evening.
