“The GOAT” Daniel Bryan vs. Fandango w/Summer Rae

DB is back in his home state this week and he gets a massive hometown reaction. Here comes Disco Inferno…I mean Fandango! There is a mild attempt at some fans to get some “Fandangoing” going in the arena but it didn’t last long. Fandango and DB lockup and Fandango shoves DB into the ropes and then connects with a shoulder block. Fandango taunts him and then bounces off the ropes but DB leapfrogs him and then connects with a dropkick. DB connects with a series of European Uppercuts and then attempts to whip him into ht ropes, but Fandango reverses it and connects with a knee for a nearfall. Fandango hits a Vertical Suplex for another nearfall and then lights DB up with a series of chops. Fandango whips DB hard into the corner and then hits him with a series of right hands. Fandango whips him into the opposite corner and then charges at DB but DB drop toe holds him into the turnbuckles. DB destroys Fandango with some vicious kicks to the back and then hits an armbreaker over his shoulder. DB goes back to kicking the hell out of Fandango and then attempts a Mexican Surfboard. Fandango blocks it so DB stomps down on the back of Fandango’s knees and then kicks him in the head for a nearfall. DB hits the ropes but Fandango sidesteps as he bounces back and sends him to the floor! Fandango then goes for a Slingshot Plancha but DB moves out of the way and then slides back in the ring! DB dives through the ropes with the Air Goat (Suicide Dive) onto Fandango on the floor! DB tosses Fandango into the guardrail and then hits a Running Dropkick! DB tosses Fandango back in the ring and then climbs up top. DB dives off with an attempt at a Missile Dropkick but Fandango catches him with a Sitout Powerbomb! 1…2…NO DB kicks out!

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Back from the break DB connects with a Running Clothesline on Fandango and then he gets hyped up by the crowd before destroying Fandango with a series of nasty kicks to the chest. He then goes for the Roundhouse Kick but whiffs completely while Fandango still sells it like he was hit. Bryan covers Fandango and gets a nearfall and then connects with a Running Dropkick to Fandango in the corner. DB hits a series of kicks and then whips Fandango into the opposite corner. He goes for another Running Dropkick but this time Fandango sidesteps him and then hits a Suplex. 1…2…NO DB kicks out again! Fandango climbs up top and attempts the Beauty In Motion but DB rolls out of the way and then climbs up top as well! DB dives off with the Flying Goat Headbutt! DB follows up with the Busaiku Knee! 1…2…3!

Winner: Bryan via pinfall (Busaiku Knee)

After the match the lights go out and Bray Wyatt appears on the Titantron. He says DB’s unwillingness to comply to him is testing his patience. He says the clock is ticking and he doesn’t want to watch DB suffer, but in his world there is no such thing as a happy ending. Bray says this story will end the same way it started with destruction. He says that he needs DB to know that at TLC they will hurt him bad and he doesn’t care if it kills Bray, he will prove to DB that DB is a monster just like Bray. He says in that moment he will take all of DB’s pain away. He closes by saying, “join us…join us Bryan” before laughing maniacally and the lights going out again. DB starts a huge “NO” chant with the crowd.

Cole and JBL hype up the fans voting for the Slammy Awards yet again and then they send it to Booker T and Jerry Lawler on the top of the ramp. Lawler and Booker welcome us to the 2013 Slammy Awards and then introduce the New Age Outlaws as the presenters for the LOL Moment of the Year Award.

Road Dogg is wearing a powder blue tux and Billy Gunn is wearing an orange one. Road Dogg does his rap and then Billy gets irritated at Road Dogg never letting him talk. Dogg says he was never good at it and reminds him that he only had one line that consisted of two words and they aren’t allowed to say those two words anymore as the fans chant “one more match.” Billy gets pissed that he can’t say it anymore and screams “I GOT TWO WORDS FOR YA!” then Road Dogg covers his mouth as the fans scream “Suck it!” The nominees for the LOL of the Year are Vickie Guerrero being fired, Titus O’Neil puking in JBL’s hat, Khali attempting to snake charm Santino’s cobra, and the Rock’s song dedicated to Vickie.

The Shield come out as the presenters for the Double Cross of the Year Award. Dean Ambrose says he knows that he looks great as the fans boo him and then he mentions that they’ve already picked up two wins on the Slammy’s Pre-Show but they know nothing about double crosses. Seth says that’s right because they do all of their business man to man no double crosses needed. Reigns says if you ever think about crossing The Shield or double crossing them you better… and then Ambrose cuts him off. Ambrose says that’s why you’ll never see them in this category. The nominees are Mark Henry’s retirement fake out, HBK turning on Daniel Bryan, Heyman turning on CM Punk, and HHH costing Bryan the WWE Title.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

A slew of former World Champions are standing in the ring. I even spot Christian in there. Big Show, Rey Mysterio, Mark Henry, Great Khali, Booker T, Bret Hart, Kane, HHH, HBK, ADR, Miz, Dolph, Punk, DB, and Mick Foley are in there too. HHH talks about the champions in the ring and he says all of the champions have etched their place in history that only winning a World Championship can. A huge “Daniel Bryan” chant breaks out which seems to bug HHH. HHH says this ceremony will be an epic moment in time, the ascension of the World Titles. DB laughs at the chants as HHH pauses while they continue to taunt him. Now a massive “YES” chant has broken out. I have a feeling Vince McMahon just broke a laptop over an interns head. HHH finally cracks a joke at DB saying that he has a lot of family here for just one building and says he should have known since they all look like him. Wow, did it really take HHH that long to think up that lame joke?

HHH says at TLC both belts will rise to the ceiling and only one champion will leave and become the champion of champions. Cena and Orton are introduced to the crowd as they come down to the ring. Randal K. Orton aka the cure for insomnia. Cena and Orton hand their belts over as they are hung onto the cable to rise to the ceiling. Orton says he knows better than anyone what Cena is capable of but he also knows what he is not capable of. He talks about Cena claiming he had “ruthless aggression” years ago but he proved that he doesn’t have that when he passed on taking him out last week. Orton says that Cena claimed he had gotten lazy but he says he didn’t get lazy and when you’re that much better than everyone else you get complacent and lack motivation. He says he has all the motivation he needs to beat Cena’s ass hanging in the ring, the titles. The fans mess with him chanting “boring” as Orton does his best to put them to sleep. Orton says he’s the greatest superstar of this or any other generation and points at all the former champions in the ring. He says he took years off of Foley’s life and then points to HBK and says he’s embarrassed him on multiple occasions. He says there wouldn’t even needed to be a Montreal Screwjob if he was facing Hart because he would have left him lying unconscious. Orton says everything that Cena has worked so hard for will come crashing down around him this Sunday.

Cena says he couldn’t help but notice Orton say the word “work” and then he pulls DB over as a huge “YES” chant breaks out again. Cena tells DB to say his name and when he does another huge pop erupts and then he asks him where he’s from and that gets another cheap pop. Cena asks DB if any of his parents were WWE superstars and DB says no and Cena asks him if he’s had to work for everything he got in WWE. A big “YES” chant starts out again and Cena says the reason they cheer him is because he WORKS for what he gets, and a guy like Orton has been GIVEN everything he’s received. Cena says ever since Orton got to the WWE developmental he’s been untouchable and unfireable because of his name and when he came up to the roster he was taken under HHH’s wings and all he does is hide behind HHH and Stephanie and now he has all the balls to say he’s better than the wrestlers in the ring. He says that Orton blames everyone else for his failures and his behavioral issues in and out of the ring and the sad thing is the TLC Match is the biggest in the history of WWE but Orton wants those belts because he’s selfish and thinks he DESERVES it. He says Orton just wants it so he can walk around saying that he’s finally what he was SUPPOSED to be 10 years ago. Cena says every single time he’s held those belts his business card has read “you want some, come get some” and whether the other guys in the ring like him or not they all respect him.

Cena says nobody wanted to give Dolph or Punk chances but he said “let’s do it” and both nod to that. Cena says the only legit title shot DB has ever had was against Cena… and he WON. Cena looks to DB and says when he wins on Sunday he looks forward to a rematch with DB, a FAIR rematch. He says that’s what being a champion is about and last week he didn’t want to take Orton out he just wanted to make a statement that when the chips are down he could be just as brutal as RKO. Cena says he wants to make one more statement because he knows what this match means and it will be physical and brutal and he will be at his best, and he hopes Orton will be too because the last thing anybody will want to deal with is just another Orton excuse. He wishes Orton luck and offers a handshake and Orton laughs and then accepts it. The belts rise to the ceiling and Orton cheap shots Cena! They begin brawling as the other wrestlers separate them.

Orton pie faces Punk and Punk decks him! HHH tosses Punk to the side and gets in Orton’s face and then Punk attacks HHH! HBK hits Punk with Sweet Chin Music! DB lays HBK out with the Knee! Orton goes for the RKO on DB but DB shoves him into Stephanie! HHH freaks out and Pedigrees Orton! Cena and HHH check on Stephanie with Kane. Orton looks up and sees Cena standing with the Authority as yet another “Daniel Bryan” chant breaks out.
