“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

A video package shows some of the highlights of the events at last night’s WrestleMania 32. 101,763 people showed up to enjoy the event. The video ends with a triumphant Roman Reigns holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship above his head.

The RAW video plays, and we’re brought into the arena to see a big pyrotechnics display. The crowd is red hot as Michael Cole, JBL, and Byron Saxton welcome us to the show. This is the conclusion of WrestleMania week. The commentators warn that this is an unconventional crowd that cheers people they should boo, and they boo people they should cheer. JBL says they’re just having fun.

Vince McMahon’s music hits, and the entire crowd is singing his song. McMahon says that’s the same chance his son had against The Undertaker. McMahon puts over WrestleMania breaking all kinds of records. Unfortunately, we have a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. His son in law and daughter are not feeling good. McMahon says he took control of the lockbox this morning. No one has anything on him, and they won’t ever again. Thinking about what happened with his son last night, seeing his grandson’s out there got him a little bit. Even as he was enjoying The Undertaker kicking the crap out of his son last night, there was one time that got him. That was when Shane went to the very top of the Hell in a Cell. McMahon thought, “My god.” A “Shane O’Mac” chant breaks out. McMahon thought he shouldn’t do it. McMahon had no idea that it meant that much to his son that he would risk his life to achieve his goals. It gave him respect for him, but it also showed him how foolish he is. McMahon is interrupted by a chant, and he puts over how crazy this crowd is the night after WrestleMania. McMahon tells them to enjoy Monday Night RAW because it’ll be one they’ll never forget.

Shane McMahon’s music hits, and the crowd explodes. Shane gingerly walks out to the stage to stand by his father. Shane has a large bruise on the left side of his cheek. A loud “Shane O’Mac” chant breaks out. Vince says Shane has no business being here. A “Thank you Shane” chant breaks out. Shane says, “Thank you.” Shane says he wanted to come out here to say that. He also has two other things to say. Since he’s the only man in the family, he does things face-to-face. Vince won, so he wants to shake his hand. The second has nothing to do with Vince. Shane wanted to thank all the fans. What they gave him, he’ll never forget. Shane sounded choked up as he said that. A thunderous “Thank you Shane” chant breaks out followed by a “You still got it” chant. Vince tells them not to enable him. It’s because of the fans Shane got the hell beat out of him. Shane thanks the fans and says goodbye. Shane’s music plays, and he walks off to loud “NO” chants.

Vince tells him to wait because nobody upstages him. Vince says he’s often thought about how ridiculous and crazy it would be if Shane were running Monday Night RAW. A loud “YES” chant breaks out. Vince says to prove his point (he’s interrupted by a “Let him run it” chant), he’s going to let Shane show what he’s got. The crowd pops so loud as Vince immediately walks off. Shane looks around and smirks. Shane looks pumped up about the decision.

The New Day makes their way to the ring to a booming pop and chants of “New Day rocks!” They’ll be defending their WWE Tag Team Championships. Kofi Kingston and Big E will represent The New Day. The crowd is absolutely into everything The New Day is doing right now. Big E thanks the crowd as the crowd sings to them. They start gyrating in the ring. Xavier Woods has a Booty O on his unicorn horn. Big E says last night didn’t go as they planned. They say no, but Kofi Kingston says it was exciting twerking with Shawn Michaels. On the other hand, Xavier took a Stone Cold Stunner from Stone Cold Steve Austin. Woods says upon review of the tape, it was pretty much his own fault, but it was lit baby! They celebrate wildly as Woods impersonates taking the Stunner. They then hold up the last piece of the WrestleMania Booty O’s cereal. Kingston says that’s the Booty of Life. Woods chants as he holds the Booty O up like Simba was held up in “The Lion King.” They say the tagline – “Booty O’s: They make sure you ain’t booty.”

Woods says they’re about to get back at the League of Booty. At the end of the night, they’ll walk out as the “WWE World Tag Team Champions.” The New Day didn’t even need to say it because the audience said it for them. They are extremely over here. They’ll do that because New Day Rocks!

We come back from the break to see Lilian Garcia dancing with The New Day. The Italian and French commentary teams are shown sitting at ringside for tonight.

Big E then lays Barrett out with a belly-to-belly side suplex. Big E then hits the ropes and hits a Big Splash as Woods plays the trombone. Big E starts clapping and gyrating as the crowd gets back into the match and stops putting themselves over. Barrett knees Big E in the head before Big E sends him into Sheamus. The New Day hits Barrett with the Midnight Hour for the win. It should be noted that Barrett being run into Sheamus should have resulted in a tag for Sheamus.

Sheamus yells enough and tells them to turn the crap off (their music). Sheamus says he’s sick and tired. They are a group of the greatest athletes from across the world. The crowd is loudly booing him. They should be destroying everybody in the WWE, but there’s something wrong. The crowd is chanting, “How you doin’?” Sheamus asks if they’re through before telling them to shut up. Everybody knows you’re only as strong as your weakest link. Rusev and Alberto Del Rio grab Barrett and hold him up for Sheamus to deliver a Brogue Kick! They then kick Barrett out of the ring.

The Wyatt Family’s video flashes on the screen, and the lights go out. When they come back on, The Wyatt Family is viciously attacking the League of Nations to the delight of the crowd. Erick Rowan sends Del Rio into the turnbuckle before throwing him out of the ring. Rusev tries to fight Braun Strowman, but he’s overwhelmed. The crowd is singing, “He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands.” Rowan and Strowman hold Sheamus up as Wyatt arcs his back. Wyatt then lays Sheamus out with Sister Abigail as the crowd loudly cheers them and chants, “Thank you, Wyatt!” The Wyatt Family poses in the ring as Wyatt says, “Follow the buzzards!”

Still photos are shown of some of the impressive images from last night’s WrestleMania.

Renee Young catches up with Vince McMahon, who is getting into a limousine. She asks if he’s leaving because he’s confident in his son running the company. McMahon laughs before saying he’s not confident at all. This show is going to be a disaster, and he doesn’t want to see the ship going down. Besides, this is only temporary. McMahon gets in the limousine, and it drives off.

Summer Rae is in the ring. She says The Total Divas beat Team B.A.D. and Blonde last night. If she were running things, it would have been different. At least she didn’t wind up flat on her face like Sasha Banks. Talk about wasting a WrestleMania moment! Sasha’s music interrupts her.

Summer Rae vs. Sasha Banks

Sasha gets right in her face before saying Summer forgot about one thing. She’s Sasha Banks, and she’s still the boss. Sasha then slaps her in the face. Summer quickly puts herself through the ropes to keep her back.

We come back from the break to see Jericho give Styles a suplex in the ring. Outside the ring, Owens poses for the crowd after sending Cesaro into the steps. Jericho chokes Styles on the middle rope. Outside the ring, Cesaro sends Owens into the barricade. Cesaro gets in the ring and takes Jericho down for a Cesaro Swing, but Owens cuts him off. Owens pretends to go for a Cesaro Swing, but he lets go. Cesaro kicks Owens down. Jericho chops Cesaro and throws him out of the ring. Styles grabs Jericho and starts punching him and delivering forearms. Styles grabs him, but Jericho punches him and dropkicks him down. A loud “This is wrestling” chant breaks out. Jericho puts Styles on the top rope and chops away at him. Jericho clubs away at him and goes for a superplex, but Styles fights him off. Owens walks up and punches Styles. Jericho and Styles go for a double-team superplex. Cesaro comes in, and they do the tower of doom spot!

After taking a few moments to recover, Owens boots Cesaro in the face before hitting Jericho with a cannonball in the corner. Styles then lays him out with a kick to the back of the head. Styles hits the ropes, and Cesaro takes him out with a Very European Uppercut for a near fall! Cesaro gives Jericho a couple of European Uppercuts in the corner before the referee backs him up. Jericho pokes the eyes and clotheslines him out of the ring. Owens attacks Jericho. Jericho slingshots over Owens, but Owens kicks him and connects with a package powerbomb for a near fall. Owens goes for a cannonball in the corner, but Jericho moves. Jericho then takes Owens down with a face-buster followed by a Lionsault, but Owens gets the knees up. Styles gets on the apron and connects with a springboard 450 Splash, but Cesaro pulls him out of the ring before the three count! Owens catches Styles with a torture rack neckbreaker for a near fall. Owens cannot believe he kicked out and argues with the referee.

Owens talks trash, and Styles punches him. Cesaro goes to the top rope and takes Styles out with a cross-body block, but Owens breaks up the pin. Cesaro blocks a whip and sends Owens into the corner. Cesaro starts an uppercut train on Styles and Owens. Jericho runs in and Cesaro uppercuts him for good measure. The crowd gives him a nice round of applause. Cesaro then restarts the uppercut train, adding Jericho in. Jericho eventually boots him in the face and goes to the second rope. Cesaro counters a dropkick from Jericho into the Cesaro Swing! Cesaro gets ten rotations before Owens superkicks him. Styles goes for a springboard, but Owens kicks the ropes. Owens catches Styles with a Pop-up Powerbomb, but Jericho breaks it up with a dropkick! Jericho avoids a Pop-up Powerbomb and catches Owens with a Codebreaker, but Cesaro breaks up the pin! Jericho chops away at Cesaro before eating an uppercut. Jericho rolls Cesaro up before applying the Walls of Jericho. Cesaro claws to the bottom rope, but Jericho pulls him away. Cesaro powers out and applies a Sharpshooter, which is in tribute to his injured tag team partner and best friend, Tyson Kidd. Styles then wipes out Cesaro with a Phenomenal Forearm. Owens gets in the ring and rolls Styles up for a near fall. Styles elbows out of a move from Owens and gives him a pelé kick. Jericho then lays Styles out with a Codebreaker out of nowhere for a near fall! Jericho cannot believe it.

The crowd is loudly chanting, “This is awesome!” Jericho talks trash before Styles connects with a strike combo. Styles goes for a backslide, but he transitions it into the Styles Clash for the win!

My thoughts on this episode of RAW will be up tomorrow exclusively on this site. Be sure to read it and share your feedback on this episode.

Did you miss last week’s episode of RAW? Check out the recap (by Adam Martin) and thoughts section. I also covered the WrestleMania 32 Kickoff Show last night, which you can view by clicking here. Finally, check out how I did on my predictions for WrestleMania 32 by clicking here.

Thanks for reading!

  1. So after almost killing himself, Vince gives Shane a chance to run the show after all. I like where this is going…

  2. So Shane is going to do such a good job running RAW; the board of directors are going to continue to let him run RAW. Setting up the umpteenth power struggle between the McMahons. I could be wrong.

  3. Agreed! Usually it’s the otter way around. So far this is already better than WrestleMania 32!

  4. Styles, Owens, Zayn, anyone but Jericho, basically. He’s the only one not needing it.

  5. WHAT?!! The Miz is the Champion? WTF!!!! So it’s gonna be Zack vs Miz feud till Payback?

  6. And there I was, hoping that Ryder would sink back into being irrelevant. Can’t stand him.

  7. Bro, I’m completely okay with Zack holding the belt, what I can’t stand is this smug loudmouth Miz.

  8. Miz at least has some kind of charisma, all Ryder has is a catch”phrase” so stupid a Diva inherited it from her father, just times three.

  9. I hope the Vaude Villains dont follow in the Ascensions footsteps. Awesome NXT careers then joke main roster careers!

  10. So the KO promo makes it clear that neither him or Zayn are winning the 4way. Zayn will cost KO the match setting up their main roster feud. AJ or Y2J for the win & #1 contendership

  11. You heard the crowd? How they are wooing (and not booing) the Champion in unison for a change? I am sick and tired of seeing champions not getting the approval of the crowd.

  12. Yeah, I’m all for champions getting approved by the crowd, I just don’t like him, personally and even though the fans are wooing, I won’t get behind him, I just can’t.

  13. And to think back in the day the IC strap was like the sign that you were ‘next up’ – I cant remember the last IC champ we had that I’d even wanna see as a main event guy except for Owens

  14. Hmm Lightbringer did you think I spelled it wrong or something? If so your deleted comment made me think twice if thats any cancellation lol

  15. I agree with you mate but knowing what the WWE are like, seeing that Vince is STILL trying to shove ultra-babyface RR down our throats, they will probably go with Y2J as the ‘heel’ in the program for the next month or 2.

  16. …and about that deleted comment; Maryse sucks.
Don’t wanna see her, completely hate her etc etc and don’t wanna talk about her.
Deleted that by accident, BTW. No big deal. ;P

  17. Cant agree with you there, I have no problem seeing her as she is still fine! Also it adds a little more interest to the Miz character which has been stale for some time

  18. Hope so. To be fair there is no way I expected the #1 contender to be any of those 4 so thats a nice change from the norm.

  19. Lita is back now? After all she’s been through (real life relationship struggle brought inside the ring, bra and panties yard sale) it’s hard to believe she’s forgiven Vince.

  20. see, if any of the two faces wins the #1 contenders match it would be perfect to turn Roman heel. Fingers crossed.

  21. Well since they didnt do it at WM or on this RAW then yes you are right. Even if it’s not a full on turn, more like now he’s got the title back he’s gonna do whatever to keep it. Anything is better than the superhero crap he does now, poor guy

  22. Good way of getting Zayn out of the 4way, poor guy apparently injured himself pretty bad with the dive earlier on Owens.

  23. Yeah I can take it or leave it. I actually think he’d be a good heel but dont think Vince is having that yet.

  24. Yeah he was never going to win the 4way. Like I said, my theory was he’d cost KO the match, allowing Y2J to win. Then KO and Sami continue their feud, Jericho feuds with RR and AJ…..well who knows!
Real shame though for Sami who finally got his main roster break. Various sources saying he hurt his arm pretty bad.

  25. So who’ll be the 4th guy? Or is it a triple threat?

I want it to be Dolph.

Edit: oh, it’s gonna be fatal four alright.

  26. I know NXT guys debut on the main roster after Wrestlemania but am I the only one dissappointed Samoa Joe isnt one of them!

  27. Him and AJ are even in victories so the score isnt settled. Owens and Zayns feud hasnt been settled either.

  28. I’m loving Shane…. his ONLY night in charge.. and Cesaro gets a potential title shot…… this is great!!!

  29. Your right. Savage Warrior Hart Michaels Austin Rock Jericho. Thats how it still should be. The working mans title as the Hitman called it.

  30. now since styles won the fatal 4 way match for thechance to face resigns worlds title, this sets up a perfect chance to turn reigns heel and i think tonight was the first step in that direction.

  31. This is awesome! Finally AJ has his break. Still one question remains, what are they gonna do with Cesaro?

  32. Nah, that doesn’t necessarily mean so. Two faces can fight for championship without one of them turning.

  33. Man forgot him. But yeah look up the US titles history in WCW and see how many times it was vacated. Hell look up any WCW titles history of vacancy. Were monkeys running that place?

  34. Yeah but what burns me is Cena, as much as I hate him, made that US title matter again……then it all went to crap once he got hurt. The titles dont represent anything but a vehicle for ppl to feud. Gone are the days where winning the US belt made you next in line for the IC and then winning the IC belt meant you may be next up for the HW title.

  35. So WWE wants to push Reigns as a face and now they are matching him against one of the hottest things going on right now in AJ Styles. Good luck in trying to turn the boos down.

  36. I think they already are, considering his smug ass walking out to the ring early on, spearing Stephanie, and even just general hatred of him. He just needs to do something to solidify that heel spot now.

  37. Only problem I had was taking the IC off of Ryder so quickly. That better lead to Ryder winning it back and retaining it. Hell, I still want Ryder to get a Heavyweight championship run.

  38. They’re teasing it but still didn’t go forward with it which makes fans even more furious

  39. I hope so man. If he actually booked it behind the scenes then he is the only person out of the McMahon’s who should run Raw. Vince is detached, Hunter is an egomaniac, and Stephanie is ineffectual without those two. Let Shane run it, because it was awesome when he did.

  40. If they can take that fury and eventually we get a payoff with it, I will be so happy for that. Let Reigns follow the Rock, be a heel for a while until you learn how to speak on the mic, learn how to pop the crowd, and learn some psychology and then let him turn to a face.

I am looking forward to the Shane run Raw, just really hoping they don’t let ego get in the way of the storylines and Shane’s management.

  41. Finally A Good RAW after the worst Wrestlemania 32 LOL for Zack Ryder still he showed a looser how he is finally some new wrestlers for nxt arrived its good for RAW and Smack Down Baron Corbin my fav and also Cesaro is back Shane running RAW AJ vs Roman good i enjoyed

  42. That’s how the championships are named, you know. First you are the best in the country, then you are the best in the continent and then you’re the best in the world.

  43. You know what, in all these years I never actually thought about that so thanks for the heads up!

  44. Actually, it doesn’t have to be slow at all. He has the strength and looks of a heel, plus he’s the HW champ. All he needs to do is come out in the ring (say, on next Raw) and say he’s sick and tired of people booing him and he doesn’t need anybody to approve him. And the people will never understand him cause he’s successful and they are not.

Seriously, he doesn’t need to say more than that to turn.

  45. Nah man, that’s all Vincent Kennedy McMahon. He’s building Shane’s future as the next WWE chairman. He wants you and me to believe that Shane’s presence makes the roster interesting and wishes of the crowd come true.
Not saying that it’s a bad thing. Frankly I enjoyed this Raw so much more.

  46. Yeah but I dont think WWE will do it like that. I think Vince will be still against the idea of a heel RR so they will go with a slow turn. I’d love your idea of him just coming out and going full heel BUT they should have done that on this RAW if they would go down that road.

  47. So, someone’s not entitled to express an opinion? Who are you, big guy the CEO of Wrestleview? For you know, even though I still come here, I really hate that design as well.

  48. Hey, just out of curiosity, do you know about this guy… can’t seem to remember his name… But people call him the Lunatic Fringe!!!! 😛

  49. no but why bitch about and then still come here if you hate the new look soo much that doesnt make any sense.

  50. Perhaps they are hoping the bitching will help WV gain some feedback rather than not know people are disappointed with it – if enough people say this then perhaps WV may consider it next time with a change or bring back some elements – it’s one of the few ways (outside of an email) to express a dislike and therefore provide feedback! At the end of the day Steele, we are coming here for free but still helping WV earn an ad revenue so I’m sure they’d rather people voice their dislike then simply leave. If you were supporting a retail business and they changed one thing about their business that you really didn’t like and it impacted your feel toward the business but you still liked the service they provided, would you just leave or at least let them know you don’t like the change?

  51. Was I the only one who saw Primo and Epico’s promo!? WWE is finally stacking the Tag Team Division again.

  52. then why complain about it on a news article that has nothing to do with it instead of contacting them directly about it.

  53. Adam comments on here to stuff (i.e. Server issues) so my take is there is a better chance of having a bigger voice when other customers see your voice and realize they are not alone – not saying what’s right or wrong – just my take!

  54. adam hardly ever comments on here. if there are server issues the whole site is effected, so that doesnt make any sense. ok so we should hijack a n article because of it? this isnt the right area to post your displeasure about something that has nothing to do with the article thus is why they have a contact link for this very thing.

  55. Oh, you mean Cena’s US Championship Open Challenge? I am not a fan of Cena personally, but I did like his run with the belt.

  56. Hope Zayn isn’t hurt, but cesaro wearing a tear away suit kinda gives you an idea that its a work. unless cesaro moonlights as a stripper…

  57. If Ryder doesnt win it back then he should just resign because hes gonna go right back to where he was before. Jobbing and wrestling on Superstars. Look how long it took him to become relevant again. Its like five years. Unless he enjoys his job no matter what and liked the money he makes.

  58. I cant really blame him. He gets to be a “wrestler” on NXT and going to the main roster will make him a “superstar!” Still I wanna see him choke out some people on the main roster.

  59. Just my take that most people won’t go out of there way to go through that link but if enough comment here it will be brought to Adam’s attention verses just having people leave. Funny this is I’m simply explaining why I think many people since the site change mentioned the new look on here.

Not saying the look bothers me (it actually doesn’t and it’s worth noting many simply don’t like change) but I feel people are more apt to complain here than use the contact link for that. Just the way we are overall today, and I think for the business owner, it’s still better than walking away without letting the business know why and most business owners I know (myself included) would prefer finding out (however I do) then not at all.

That said, we are now hijacking this article when I think we just both have different perspectives on so we can agree that we have different takes – we don’t necessarily disagree because I think it would be great if every person who felt this way would use the contact link but it simply doesn’t happen today. Same thing as recently when WV put up a link where Cena said he was medically cleared and everyone jumped on WV saying the header was misleading without reading the link provided to show that it was completely accurate.

I should add though that they are completely on an article that perhaps is related to the change because it is where they are viewing it so from their perspective they may feel the article is tied to the look and therefore an appropriate time to voice their concern.

  60. Well, there’s that and there’s the possibility that Mojo Rawley will finally move up and the two of them form the Hype Bros. on the main roster.

  61. So performing moves on women in wrestling is a heel move? Stephanie used to get Stunned Rockbottomed Walls of Jericho Pedigreed even kicked in the head by Kane and everybody and they were cheered for it. Stephanie was a heel and she deserved it.

  62. Yeah Backlash 2001 Kane had Triple H set up for a chokeslam and she ran at him so Kane just raised his leg high and really kicked the crap out of her for real. She had a bruise on her face afterwards!

  63. Nothing on my end Paul, Steel and I were discussing whether this is the place (articles) for people to voice that they aren’t enjoying the new design. I mentioned that I actually don’t mind it but figured it’s better for people to mention here for you and Adam to see then not voice their opinions and just leave WV. He felt they should just leave if they don’t like the design and so we were discussing that and it ended up going on longer than it should have as a discussion considering we just both feel differently.

So, no problem on my end with the new design, mentioned right from the jump that I actually don’t mind it – it seems some do and again, just felt better for them to voice that then not share their opinion on it 🙂

  64. I looked more like that she just ran into his outstretched leg than a stiff kick, but it was fun to watch.

  65. Yeah I saw it too!! I really want Carlito to come back with them, it will be a hell of a team and a nice team to go against the new 3 man tag teams. Carlito was awesome back in the day!!

  66. I just saw that vignette. They look ten times better than those silly bull fighter outfits they used to wear.

  67. I understand where some people are coming from, it took us a while to get the hang of it while setting it up. The reason behind the design change and what people need to understand is that we have to stay competitive. When you run a site like this and maintain a 90’s type of design (so to speak), it’s a problem for SEO, it’s a problem to keep up with competitors which would result in shutting down. You will laugh at this comparison, but it’s true, for example Blackberry was on top of the world at one point, and then they crashed, why? They didn’t know how to keep up with Apple and Samsung. Running a site is not easy. Personally I didn’t want a design switch, but we had no other choice, many things are attached to this decision. You guys can feel to e-mail me at anytime, webmaster@wrestleview.com.

  68. I get your point. By the way, congrats for everything you, the WV staff’ve done for all the years. Been on here every single day for years. I don’t like the design: not because of the design, but -having 2 jobs, when I have a look here, it’s only for a few minutes, as I don’t have much time. Yhe former design was more efficient, enabled me to go through more articles in a limited amount of time. That’s all. I will still come here anyway.

  69. so they are too lazy to contact them so they go on here instead to hijack a post. how is that getting your point across again? if anything it will go ignored. i have been on this site for a long time and hijacking post wont get you anywhere. ook but if you want to complain about something you dont complain to the stock boy you complain to the manager. ok but that was in direct relation to the article not the way the site looks. well if they think that way they are dumb considering these articles have no correlation to the contents of the subject.

  70. See below – as business owners, I believe we try “not to ignore” our customer’s voices and Paul demonstrated that in a classy way that they are listening to customers (visitors). As Paul noted below, it’s important to stay ahead of the curve, and that includes listening to customers as commenting here is very similar to someone commenting on someone’s twitter feed or facebook page in today’s world rather than calling their corporate office – you or I may not feel this is the best place to do so but it’s the way things are these days and again see below that it doesn’t go unheard like you felt it would. Kudos to WV and the team here for being in the “ahead of the curve” crowd of businesses who see that times have changed and customers speak up in different ways than before (whether we agree with it or not)

  71. Thanks so much Paul, greatly appreciated and kudos to you for being ahead of the curve and getting engaged with the sites visitors / customers when it comes to something as big as the design (which is like the entire building 20 years ago) and I completely understand where you are coming from and also with your comparison to Blackberry – just that you understand the importance of engagement (and that comparison of what went wrong with Blackberry) say’s a great deal.

  72. exactly. the old site was becoming very dated lookinand it was in need of a major overhaul. i like the new look, it’s crisp and modern looking.

  73. i got that but there is a time and place for that people come to these articles and read the comments of what other think not to complain about something totally unrelated. yeah only because this post was hijacked which isnt the proper way to complain about something unrelated.

  74. I don’t want to keep it going so just one last comment (oh, and why I have continued to comment is I feel it is sad that we’ve reached this point in general) to note that whether it’s the right way or wrong way (or the time or place) to do it, it is the way things are now and will continue to be the way in the future (it’s only gotten to be more of the case – I suspect social media had a lot to do with it – i.e. twitter probably isn’t the place to complain about a company but it has become the place) and our little convo here won’t change that 🙂 Cherrios’

  75. That was the attitude era. Keep in mind I don’t like Stephanie’s character, but flagrantly attacking a woman, especially a non-wrestler, should get you some heat.

  76. Because it’s happened before and so many people complained that they changed it back. Makes sense that people will complain again.

  77. How else are they supposed to get their come upons? Watching their guy lose isnt punishment enough. Thats what I hated about Vickie Guerrero. She never got hers.

  78. Winds of change is coming to WWE…
let’s hope the old man is finally letting his son in law takeover

  79. son in law Captain Egomaniac? Nah. It’s Shane McMahon who should be the next WWE Chairman.

  80. I’m sure Shane is great but U do realize HHH is in full control of NXT right?
look at how good NXT is.
He may be an egomaniac but if he can shake up WWE like what he did to NXT who cares how big his ego is. We just want our money worth.

  81. Hi Paul, Is there any possibility in the future to have a toggle to switch between a dark background and a light background, for late night readers? after all your readers are used the dark themes

  82. Yeah, it’s pretty big, probably bigger than the Sun itself and I don’t like egotists, no one does. But can’t say I don’t like what he has achieved with NXT (or can’t deny that he’s a super talented pro wrestler, even in this age). What I don’t like is his self-centered decisions that ruin historical moments, for instance, his match against Sting in WM! (while the Undertaker was booked against Bray Wyatt! I need not say how dead end that storyline was). Plus, if you are a wrestler who is not in the friend zone of Hunter, you can say bye-bye to push like forever. (the biggest example: Dolph Ziggler).

I think, Vince himself should consider these things before he hands the company over to him. I mean, it’s one thing to manage a roster full of rookies but managing a locker room full of stars who are sometimes bigger than yourself is a different challenge, and certainly not a job for someone like HHH who has so many insecurities.

And as much as the keyfabe is concerned, we are seeing a wave of change is coming to the company, it would be great to have a babyface figure of authority instead of an evil heel boss controlling the roster for a change. Frankly, I am sick and tired of Steph and Hunter hogging the camera all the time.

  83. But Styles is a well established pro wrestler, Sami is not. Plus, AJ is not getting any younger.

  85. Sami’s also been around in the indie for quite some time b4 coming to the WWE.
I’m stoked that AJ is the no 1 contender however they both should be given the same opportunity
