WWE Smackdown Results
February 15, 2013
Little Rock, Arkansas
Report by: Mike Tedesco of Wrestleview.com

“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

They show footage of The Rock and CM Punk fighting at the end of this week’s Raw. Paul Heyman tripped The Rock during a People’s Elbow attempt. Punk hit him with a GTS, and he stole the WWE Championship back. Also, the combatants in the Smackdown Elimination Chamber have been all finalized. However, there is some unfinished business heading in. Randy Orton will take on Mark Henry, tonight.

The Smackdown video with the new song plays. Big Show’s music hits, and he’ll kick off the show for the evening. Josh Mathews and John “Bradshaw” Layfield are on commentary. Big Show comes to the ring to a chorus of boos. They show footage of Alberto Del Rio torturing the Big Show on last week’s Smackdown. He stole the back tires off his tour bus and doused him in orange paint. Big Show was left crying.

Big Show asks if the crowd thinks that footage is funny. He says he hopes the fans and Alberto Del Rio are happy because due to those actions, three innocent people suffered his wrath. That’s ok because it’s funny. Big Show wants to get to the point. Alberto Del Rio has never pinned him. He says Del Rio doesn’t have what it takes to pin him. Del Rio will never pin him. The rage he has inside of him right now will unload on Del Rio at the Elimination Chamber Pay Per View. He’s going to ball up his fist, and when he lets it fly, Del Rio’s “fiesta” will become a “siesta.”

Chris Jericho’s music hits, and he makes his way to the ring to a great reception. Jericho says he’s known Big Show for sixteen years, and he knows what he’s feeling. Big Show says if Jericho knows him like he says he knows him, then he should be as far away from him as possible. He’s not in the mood for Jericho’s crap. Big Show asks what he’s even doing here. Shouldn’t he be touring with Fozzy or writing another book? Big Show says they’ve been through a lot, and he should stay away from him. Jericho says he’s looking at Big Show because he’s back in WWE, he’s pumped to be here, he’s working and feeling better than ever, and every Jerichoholic in the arena and at home knows it to be true. However, he can’t read Big Show like a book. Big Show might be feeling anger and doubt about Alberto Del Rio, but he’s been his tag team partner. They’ve been champions. Jericho knows how dangerous he is. Big Show is a giant destroyer and the biggest force in the company. Jericho says he’s a six-time World Champion, he’s headlined WrestleMania’s, and he’s been in more Elimination Chamber matches than anyone. This Sunday he’s in another one. If he wins that match and Big Show beats Del Rio, then it’s Jericho versus Big Show at WrestleMania. If it happens, he’ll beat Big Show and become the World Heavyweight Champion. That’s a fact that Big Show can never, EVER forget again.

Big Show says they have been through a lot together. If Jericho wins the Elimination Chamber match and goes to WrestleMania, and he is the World Heavyweight Champion, it will be the last WrestleMania appearance of Jericho’s career. Big Show warns him to get out of his face before he hurts him so bad that he doesn’t get to the Elimination Chamber. Big Show is trying to do him a favor.

Booker T’s music hits, and the General Manager of Smackdown comes out to the stage. Booker says he sees where this is going, and he likes it. Booker says we don’t know if that match will happen at WrestleMania, so why no have the match on Smackdown, tonight? Booker T says the main event will see the World’s Largest Athlete Big Show going one-on-one with Chris Jericho. Now can you dig that, SUCKA?

Randy Orton is walking backstage when Matt Striker stops him. Striker asks how he feels about facing Mark Henry again just forty-eight hours before the Elimination Chamber. Orton thinks about it, but Mark Henry appears on the screen. They stare at each other for a few seconds before Henry walks off. They’ll fight, next.

WWE Champion The Rock will be on Smackdown, tonight.

Chris Jericho will take on the Big Show in the main event.

They show footage of The Rock and CM Punk’s fight at the end of Raw. Punk wound up getting the better of The Rock (with an assist from Paul Heyman), and he stole the WWE Championship from him. The Rock will be out, next!

-Commercial Break-

The Rock makes his way to the ring to a massive reception from the crowd. He is without the WWE Championship. The Rock goes to speak, but the roar of the crowd doesn’t allow him. The Rock finally says he wants to make something perfectly clear to CM Punk. Punk ran off with his title this past Monday, but that doesn’t make him a champion. All he did was make a trade. He’ll hold The Rock’s championship for six days in exchange for an ass kicking that will haunt him for the rest of his life. The crowd chants his name.

The Rock says Punk can hear the people. This Sunday, The Rock is going to make him suffer. The people want him to make Punk suffer and treat him like the spoiled little boy he is. That’s exactly how he acts. He loses his toy, he runs his mouth, and keeps someone like Paul Heyman to hug him. The Rock says he isn’t a spoiled little boy. He is a man. It took him ten long years to win the title back, and it’ll take him one night to make sure he never touches it again.

CM Punk clears his throat and appears on the titantron alongside Paul Heyman. It says he’s appearing via satellite. Punk says this isn’t a belt. It’s a championship title, and it belongs to the Best in the World. Punk tells him to not run around Little Rock and tell people he stole it. Everyone saw the travesty at the Royal Rumble when The Rock committed grand larceny. Punk beat him at the Royal Rumble, and now Rock is throwing a fit. The Rock is a hypocrite because he complains about Punk throwing fits. Punk wants him to give him a beating. He wants The Rock to snap and get disqualified because that means he’ll win, just like he did at the Royal Rumble. Punk says he’ll let Rock beat himself at Elimination Chamber. If The Rock gets disqualified or counted out, he’ll win. At Elimination Chamber, this nightmare of “the People’s Era,” will be over. Whether he beats him or Rock beats himself, it’ll be CM Punk as the WWE Champion.

The Rock says CM Punk talks a big game about what he’s going to do, but the fact of the matter is his words are worthless. Punk said he would stop him at the Royal Rumble, but he didn’t. The Rock gave his word that he would beat him, and he did. Even after Punk and Heyman paid off The Shield, at the end of the night at the Royal Rumble, Punk got beat. The Rock tells him not to think about what happens on Sunday. He wants him to think about what happens on Monday morning. Punk will wake up, and it’ll hit him like a ton of bricks: he failed. The Rock says the bottom line is Punk is a spoiled little boy standing in the way of someone who is a steamroller of a man. The Rock will beat CM Punk at Elimination Chamber and go on to WrestleMania as the WWE Champion. Paul Heyman knows it, the people know it, and Punk knows it. The Rock then intensely says, “If you smell what The Rock is cookin’…”

Chris Jericho will take on Big Show in tonight’s main event.

Tensai and Clay charge past one another and splash them. Clay knocks McIntyre off the apron, and Tensai hits Ichi Ban on Mahal. Clay then hits the Splat for the win.

Winners by Pinfall: Brodus Clay and Tensai
Match Rating: 1/2 *

Brodus Clay and Tensai dance in the ring with the Funkadactyls until The Shield’s music hits. The Shield makes their way to the ring through the crowd. They triple-team the two of them and take them down. They send Tensai into the steel steps and concentrate their efforts on Brodus Clay. They then execute a triple powerbomb on Brodus Clay!

Dean Ambrose grabs a microphone. He says, “Don’t you dare think for one moment that this Sunday will look any different!” Ambrose says John Cena, Sheamus, and Ryback will learn the hard way that their actions will have consequences. They will believe in The Shield.

Ryder comes back with a flying forearm. Swagger reverses a whip and counters an attempted knee attack by Ryder. Swagger shoves him a few times before giving him some knees in the corner. Coulter is seen closely watching at ringside. Swagger viciously whips him to the corner.

Swagger goes to throw him across the ring, but Ryder lands on his feet. Ryder catches him with a flapjack, and he punches Swagger down in the corner. Ryder goes for the Broski Boot, but Swagger moves. Swagger then slams Ryder’s ankle into the ring post. Ryder is hobbling around the ring, so Swagger takes him down with a chop block. Swagger stalks his prey before hitting a Gutwrench Powerbomb. Swagger stands on the ankle before applying the Patriot Act for the submission victory.

Winner by Submission: Jack Swagger
Match Rating: 1/2 *

Jack Swagger says he’s going to introduce a great friend. He’s a native and a great American. This man is Zeb Colter.

Colter takes the microphone and says, “My fellow Americans, ‘We the people…'” It says in the Declaration of Independence that all men are created equal, but it is the choices you make that define you. Do you end up to be a great patriot or American like Jack Swagger and himself or do the choices you make resemble this clown (Ryder) who cares more for his hair and tan than the country he lives in. Colter says the people aren’t blind, but they refuse to see. Their eyes are wide open. This country is broken, and they know how to fix it. Jack Swagger is a great man, a great patriot, and a real American. He knows how to fix the problem. It starts right here. Remember, “We The People!”
