Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Report by: Mike Tedesco of Wrestleview.com

“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

The show kicks off with a video recapping Roman Reigns’ return last week. Reigns viciously attacked Triple H from ringside to the backstage area and left him bleeding.

Stephanie McMahon is introduced to the crowd, and they boo as she makes her way to the ring. She welcomes them to Monday Night RAW before saying that her husband Triple H is not there tonight. The crowd loudly boos that. She says if they want refunds, they have sixty seconds to get to the box office. The reason he isn’t there is because he has corporate responsibilities to WWE. Responsibility is something people in the crowd can’t relate to. Triple H isn’t missing because of Roman Reigns’ vicious, brutal, and opportunistic attack last week. The crowd loudly boos Reigns’ name. She says Reigns proved why he’ll never be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Reigns lacks intellect. Why else would he risk his championship match at WrestleMania? For retaliation or revenge? It’s too shortsighted. This is a teachable moment. People need to understand how to see the bigger picture. Only then will they learn the true meaning of success. Her and her husband understand success. They can buy each and every one of the people in the crowd.

Roman Reigns’ music hits, and he comes out to thunderous boos from the hostile Philadelphia crowd. Reigns comes out from the stage. Stephanie says Reigns is opportunistic. He waited for her to say Triple H isn’t there. Now Reigns thinks he can intimidate her. This is her ring. Reigns covers the microphone and says, “Shh.” The crowd is loudly heckling him. Reigns asks if the people want to know the real reason Triple H isn’t here. Triple H was afraid he’d whoop his ass all over Broad Street. That gets a slight pop. If she thought last week was bad, wait until they get to WrestleMania. He’s walking into Stephanie’s stadium, stand in her ring, beat her husband, and taking his title. The crowd is back to loudly booing him. Reigns says there’s nothing she or her daddy’s money can do about it. Stephanie goes to slap him, but he blocks it. Reigns says, “Now I’m The Authority!” Reigns tosses the microphone and walks off. Stephanie just angrily stares back at him.

Winner by Pinfall: Kevin Owens
Match Rating: ***

Styles is livid, and he chases Jericho to the back. Owens grabs his Intercontinental Championship and celebrates. Owens grabs a microphone and holds up the title. Owens says this is the Kevin Owens Show. Now that he’s done with Styles, let’s get to what really matters. In 13 days, the biggest event in the history of WWE will take place. Everyone wants to know who is going to face him for his Intercontinental Championship at K-O-Mania. The answer to that is more intricate…

Dolph Ziggler’s music hits, and he comes out in a full suit and tie. Ziggler says whatever Owens wants to call it, there is no one more willing to steal the show at WrestleMania and beat him for the title than him. Owens asks if that’s one of his crappy jokes from his standup. The Miz’ music hits, and he comes out asking what makes Ziggler think he deserves an Intercontinental Championship opportunity. Was it the beating Triple H gave him last Monday? Ziggler needs to step aside for a real leading man that has main evented WrestleMania. Ziggler says if he wants to relive his glory days, he can go to the WWE Network. Ziggler says he just beat Miz on Smackdown. Sami Zayn’s music hits, and he comes out to a nice reception. An “Olé” chant breaks out. Zayn says he’s been waiting a long time to get his hands on Kevin Owens. He couldn’t think of a better time or place to do it than for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania. The Miz says he’ll have to wait a whole lot longer and calls him, “Skinny Seth Rogan.” Owens says none of them deserve a chance at his title, and he begins walking out. Owens then says in the interest of fairness, he’ll go to The Authority and see if we can get a triple threat match. The winner will get the chance to face him for his Intercontinental Championship at K-O-Mania!

Dean Ambrose will face Braun Strowman later tonight.

Dean Ambrose is seen earlier in the day at the Philadium Tavern. Ambrose says he’s not sure what’s inside Brock Lesnar, but deep down inside him is probably quit. Ambrose will reach down and smear it all over his face. Lesnar doesn’t have what it takes to beat him at WrestleMania. Ambrose is revealed to be talking to Terry Funk! Funk talks about how Ambrose is all kinds of crazy – crazier than a fox in a henhouse. Funk says he’s the best in the country and if he had a son, he’d want it to be Ambrose. Funk then gives him his chainsaw from his Chainsaw Charlie days. Ambrose fires it up and cuts a table in half.

Stephanie tells him to cut the small talk. Owens says a lot of people want his title, so he thought there should be a triple threat to determine who will face him. Stephanie says he’s not afraid to swing for the fences and books the triple threat. Owens thanks her and tells her to say hello to Triple H.

-Commercial Break-

The League of Nations is in the ring. They’ll be facing The New Day at WrestleMania. Rusev shouts how they crushed The New Day last week. We hear the energetic voice of Big E, and The New Day makes their entrance wearing their Booty O’s t-shirts. Big E says they may have put hands on them last week, but The New Day does not suck nor has it ever sucked. They get in the ring, and The League of Nations goes outside for some reason. Xavier Woods holds up signs that say The League of Nations are trash. Kofi Kingston says they really mean it. Kingston says he’s happy Rusev finally started wearing boots on his feet. Rusev’s feet scare children. As for Del Rio, what happened to him? He used to come out with a limo and a ring announcer. Now he’s stuck in the League of Nations. King Barrett, he’s just a waste of a king. Could you imagine what the world would be like if The New Day were the three Kings of the Ring. They start talking in fake British accents. They shame them before turning to Sheamus. Woods says his parents must have known what he was going to be because they put “shame” in his name. They could have called him Stephen (which is his actual birth name), but they chose Sheamus. Big E says all that can be rectified with a big box of Booty O’s! A light “Booty O’s” chant breaks out. Why? Because New Day rocks!

They then dropkick The League of Nations off the apron and start attacking them. The New Day takes them down and stands tall in the ring. Woods plays Francesca II as a referee comes out to restore order.

Rusev then takes him down with a spinning heel kick for a two count. Rusev splashes him in the corner for a two count and goes for a big boot, but Big E moves. Big E goes for a Big Ending, but Rusev gets out and charges into a one-armed slam for a near fall.

Woods and Kingston are still in the timekeeper’s area. Big E charges into a knee before Rusev annihilates him with a kick to the skull for a near fall. Rusev goes for a lift, but Big E drops him down. Big E connects with a big splash for a near fall. Big E gets distracted, and Rusev superkicks him for a near fall. Woods gets up and gives Del Rio a drop-toe-hold on the floor before sending Barrett into the ring post. Sheamus then takes him down. Sheamus gets on the apron and distracts the referee. Rusev goes for the Accolade, but Big E gets him up in the electric chair before dropping him down! Sheamus gets on the apron, and Big E spears him off! Big E spiked himself on his head on the floor! That is way too dangerous. Kingston then gives Rusev Trouble in Paradise. Big E runs in and gives Rusev the Big Ending for the win.

Big Show says he has to believe in himself, but the real greatest giant is André The Giant. André carved the path. He was the first and the greatest. All other giants strive to be like him. That’s why it was important for him when he won the trophy last year because he never wins battle royals. This year, he wants to be a two-time winner at WrestleMania.
