According to Fightful, WWE is reportedly heading to India for a major event, which is said to be scheduled for January 18, 2023.
The report also notes that WWE is preparing for a show on “a grand scale” in Hyderabad, India. The roster will be a mixture of WWE and Indian talent. It said that from WWE, Drew McIntyre is the only talent to be locked in for the event. He was recently in India for a Bollywood project.
Fightful could not confirm whether or not this would be a follow-up to the WWE Superstar Spectacle, which was held for the Indian audience in the WWE ThunderDome in early 2021. It is also not known how or if the event will air. There had been plans previously to form an NXT India brand.
