According to F4WOnline, former AEW Women’s Champion Mariah May is believed to be on her way to WWE.

Last month, there were reports May was believed to be in the final year of her AEW contract. May has not been seen on AEW programming since the Revolution pay-per-view after losing to Toni Storm. May dropped the title to Storm at the February Grand Slam Australia television special back on February 15, after a 174-day run as champion. In addition to having held the women’s championship, she is also the 2024 Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament Winner.

May posted to her Instagram Stories this past weekend with a plane window and a quote saying, “You can’t make the wrong decision because every decision leads you to where you’re supposed to be.”

During the latest episode of The Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer notes he spoke with people in WWE that said they know May wants to go there, with the belief her current deal with AEW is up this summer. Bryan Alvarez added that he is under the impression May signed a two-year contract at those in AEW feel May is headed to WWE.

The 26-year old May debuted during the November 8, 2023 episode of AEW Dynamite, as a superfan of “Timeless” Toni Storm. Prior to signing with AEW, May wrestled for Stardom.

We will have more details as they become available.
